If you'd suddenly won a grant to do an evening course for a few hours a week, and it's convinient for you to do it.... what would you pick?
It's not really doing the lesson in the view of getting a job, more just for a bit of fun.
You got any hobbies? I quite fancy doing a bit of archery.

There are vast amounts of info online.
Most of us programmers are really just professional googlers with basic programming skills.

Ben Affleck as the new Batman?

I'm very upset about this. If Zack Snyder isn't taking it seriously, then neither am I. Fuck him, fuck Affleck, and fuck a third thing that I have yet to decide upon.

People said awful things about Ledger as The Joker and he pulled it out of the bag.
The Batman he is playing is retired Bruce Wayne.
Hmm. He knows he can't mug it up.

And if we wanted cartoon-y Batman, we'd wacth Adam West or any of the cartoon shows. I think they're desperate to compete with Avengers and have left it too late. Also, who wants to watch a movie of each of the following:
Wonder Woman
The Flash
Aquaman
and so on. Answer? NO ONE. They're better off carrying on with Batman and Superman as separate entities.

I want an in-car phone dock. Not a shit cradle thing, but something that has a secure place for you to put your phone, that will connect to your radio for music and your cig lighter for charging.

Get the mic and speakers wired in and all that.

but this is for Android
I want one that doesn't replace your radio, but comes as a separate piece of kit that will work with either Android or iPhone.

I'm getting a new phone in October, there's no point spending £60 on something that'll only work with my current one.
I think I'm just going to have to have metres of cable flopping all over the dash of my lovely car :(

If you fancied a bit of a project, you could hook up a Nexus 7 / iPad Mini and get some funky software.

I'm not a 'big picture' kind of artist. Granddaughter No 2 is off to college this time round, studying art and design. I'm kind of jealous of her being able to do that.
I think if I was going to do an evening class, I'd either learn Polish (quite useful where I work) or car repair and maintenance (quite useful for not being ripped off at service & MOT time).
My hobby, apart from High End Gaming obvs, is my design blog stuff. Hosted by a very nice person who didn't even need bribing ;-)

But am a bit sceptical because I don't think you can teach someone an imagination.

Am I doing this right?

2 evenings a week, 3 hours a night, over 4 years. Not for work, just interest. Also A level maths, I've always picked stuff I liked and was good at/career orientated, so as I'm shit at maths it would be a challenge.

In other news, following an excellent morning with micro I am having a couple of pints. This will be followed by watching Live & Let Die and a snooze on the sofa.

Micro's maths is coming on quite well. Counts up to 11 & can do some basic addition.
Starting Spanish with her in Sept.
