So only another 108 days for my ex and I to argue about how micro will spend Christmas Day

How old will Micro be?

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 11:59, Reply)
She is 2

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:01, Reply)
Then I would suggest that she won't care to much which of you she is with
and that you would both be arguing for selfish reasons. Better to either spend it together or agree that its your turn next year. Christmas with a 3 year old is better anyway.

Wise words.

What is Christmas at Castle Grayskull like?

Wife wakes up at stupid o'clock and wakes the rest of us up to see if Santa's been
then breakfast and presents. I cook a lunch for us and her mum, stepdad and brother. My mate usually gatecrashes too. Loads of food, loads of booze and then sit down for the bond movie.

has 2 pints of egg nog by 9am and by 10 is screaming abuse and chucking dictionaries at me. By 11am me, Greedo and Uhuru are cowering in my pink shed waiting for her to pass out.

Perfect!

I've never had Xmas Day with mine and realistically won't for a good few years.
It doesn't matter at all, if you have your own Xmas before or afterwards it means that the kid isn't so overloaded in one go, makes it more special.

I'd quite like a break from Christmas this year
I may become Jewish on Xmas eve.
(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:23, Reply)
The thing with being a Jew is that you gotta put in the effort.
You gotta learn all kinds of crap, and do all sorts of things. We ain't like the normal religions/cultures where you can just say you are and you are.
(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:34, Reply)
just don't be jewish then

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:35, Reply)
Merry Kwanza Bitches!

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:55, Reply)
Be adults and spend it all together

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:01, Reply)
That is the best solution.

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:02, Reply)
Except your ex clearly can't stand you, and with apparently good reason.

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:03, Reply)
It's more civil now than it was a lot of the time towards the end of the marriage.

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:05, Reply)
Or accept that it is just another day of the year and offer to have her on Boxing Day instead.
Maybe she'll swap the following year.
(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:04, Reply)
I think one of us will have her in the morning & the other in the afternoon.
Next year we will probably start alternating the years.
(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:06, Reply)
If you think about it this early it should give you plenty of time to work yourself up in to UBER RAGE.

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:02, Reply)
This will end brilliantly

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:04, Reply)

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:06, Reply)
Or alternatively, one of you has her Xmas Eve and Xmas morning and the other has her for the rest of Xmas Day and Boxing Day morning
That's what I do with my 2. Then we alternate each year. Works fine.
(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:05, Reply)
That's what I'm hooping for. Works ok for a few people I know.

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:06, Reply)
Just about accomodating each other innit.
She not off to the land of perspiring footwear?
(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:09, Reply)
No. She's agreed not to this year. If I go to India after Christmas she will probably go then.

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:11, Reply)
Fair play.
That'll be the contentious point going forward.
(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:12, Reply)
I have to be fair on that one, it is in mciro's interests that she spends time with her grandparents and extended family.

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:50, Reply)
unless they are nonces

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:51, Reply)
not if they are mccunts

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:56, Reply)
Do you also have to agree that arrangment with Santa so he doesn't get confused
And take the gifts to the wrong hour.
(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:08, Reply)
Santa's a pretty switched-on guy. He can work all that shit out himself.

(, Fri 6 Sep 2013, 12:10, Reply)
If Jimmy's a beast, what does that make Santa?
