Everyon'es kicking off about that Baby P mother getting released
Surely she will have it hard on the outside. People will be after her blood.

What was the last piece of news that shocked you?

Alt. Last extravagant purchase? Think mine was a new telly.

Altalt. Best album covers.

or talk among yourselves

child muderers will always be villified
but 5 years does feel like a pretty light sentence.

alt: i dunno I do MP3s innit
(, Tue 8 Oct 2013, 16:34, Reply)
I'm not generally given to sentimentality over the news, as it doesn't concern real people, but
The story about that 4yo kiddy that starved to death because his mother was an alcoholic was pretty awful.

Alt: I did £200 on a new leather jacket a couple of months ago.

Altalt: I like that recursive Pink Floyd one - Umaguma or whatever.

There's a load of child neglect in the news lately
They are even bringing in a load of foreign stories.
Things like this happen all the time. I'm sure they coincide foreign affairs to sensationalise our own.

Ah the power of the media.

The whole smoke and mirrors thing. "LOOK AT THIS AWFUL PERSON LOOK AT HOW AWFUL THEY ARE AREN'T THEY AWFUL oh by the way we're going to start watching you through your tellies from now on."

That does seem a bit of a short sentence yeah. I am also in agreement with Vag up above, that recent story with the baby that starved was pretty heavy.

Alt: I dunno, i remember liking the Houses of the Physical Graffiti cover on the vinyl with all the windows and stuff. Otherwise, I dunno, there are some very creative covers around, that Tool one with the stereoscope thing was pretty cool.

Seems short but that's what we awarded her.
I'm more concerned that there isn't adequate protection for the next ones. Do we do enough as individuals? Mrs Jogs regularly intervenes when she sees mistreatment of kids in public and I have to agree with her...you would too!
Recent case where a mother placed her baby on an airport baggage belt. Nobody jumped on and dragged the kid off. Kid got mangled by the mechanism.

Awarded! Haha!
You have to be careful about intervening in public these days. Not only for the reaction of feral mothers but they way society views strange adults with kids.

Them 70's nonces have spoilt it for us all.
