Crocodile Dundee!
It's an objectively terrible film, but I love it. It was on the other night and I made the gf watch it and she got visibly bored before they'd even left the pub. I might have to dump her.

I'm a big fan of the books that film's based on

On a similar note...
As a computer prick, when someone asks me to do something I've been known to break out the 'It's a UNIX system... I know this' from Jurassic Park whilst hammering at the keys. Only one like-minded prick has got it so far.

There was a made-for-TV film called The Birth of the Beatles, that I had on VHS and watched hundreds of times when I was a small boy.
It was shit, inaccurate and shit, but I loved it.
I could probably still recite the entire script to you today.

I was just saying why it 'may' be considered not good.

(, Thu 21 Nov 2013, 12:54, Reply)
Big Trouble in little China is excellent.
In fact, I agree with all of these except paranormal activity. However, if you like that sort of thing, try Alien Abduction: incident in Lake County. Great film.

Grease, despite it being abjectly shit.
Flight of the Navigator, because it's one of those films you can just switch off and enjoy, and before you know it, it's over.

Also, pretty much any film involving time travel, and most 'coming of age high school teenage pap' type films.

Yeah, I know...

Waterworld.
Cos I'm a bit Gay for Costner with gills. Sexy fish bastard.
In all seriousness, it's actually not a bad film, Dennis Hopper is great fun in it.
(, Thu 21 Nov 2013, 12:33, Reply)
That film doesn't deserve the ridicule heaped on it.
If it didn't cost so much to make it'd have been completely forgettable.
(, Thu 21 Nov 2013, 12:37, Reply)
I still think it would have got some sort of cult look in,
Just for hoppers performance alone. But yeah, you're probably right.

Hopper tends to improve most films.
See also Walken, and Sutherland Sr.
