I currently have "Mysterious Girl" by Peter Andre going around my head. I've no idea why.

But I don't see why I should be the only one to have to suffer it. Hopefully I've infected a couple of you now. HA!

Neil Young
specifically, Harvest. Any tune you like but especially, 'A Man Needs A Maid' neutralises any pop chart infection.

Ha!
Can't get me. Every time I edit that MySpace page, another Blues song kicks off on that music player, so it's "Gun Street Girl" (with kitchen equipment percussion) all the way.
(, Thu 7 Aug 2008, 11:50, Reply)
Can't get me either
I've got the iPod (the one I mysteriously lost and then PJM found) playing The Killers very loud. And it's on shuffle so I might get the Mammas and the Pappas next.

I already have "Saturday night" by whigfield in there so it diodn't work.

@Chickenlady
I have my mp3 on the desk in front of me. 2000 songs, none of which is Peter Andre, and I still can't get "Mysterious Girl" out of my head.

Fucksocks.
(, Thu 7 Aug 2008, 11:55, Reply)
First someone takes my pritt stick.
Then someone takes my sparkly pen.
Now I can't stop thinking about Peter Andre.

This is the worst day ever, I might aswell go and shoot myself in the face until I am dead.

On a lighter note, did you know Peter Andre allegedly overdosed on potassium from eating too many bananas?

@Tourette's : A call to arms/arse!
Hurry - feed me a few pints of your finest ale (from the end of the barrel for best effect) and a couple of bags of pork scratchings and point me arse-first at the aforementioned Mr Andre.

Edit: I've also heard the banana/potassium story and I hope to god it's true.

Got Iggy Pop on now - up your arse Peter Andre!

But this is mainly because I have had 'Paranoid' by Black Sabbath going around and around and around my head for 2 days.

I must change the music for my alarm clock.

@Toutette's
Iggy Pop up Peter Andre's arse? Blimey.

@DiT. I've now got Ozzy and Peter in a bizarre mash-up. Hmmm.
(, Thu 7 Aug 2008, 12:02, Reply)
@DIT
the lovely-ex had the Scissor Sisters "Don't Feel Like Dancing" as his alarm clock noise. Now every time I hear it I automatically react with a "ARGH! It's 6.45am! Fuck off to work so I can have the bed to myself for another hour" which doesn't go down well at the disco. Do they still call them discos? Do they still have discos?

You itch that chicken, madam. As long as it's the deep fried skin of some sort of farmyard animal, I'm sure it will have the desired effect.

I salute your ferret. Good choice (and by god it's an eggy one when it's gets near the end of the barrel.)

@CHCB: At least you didn't say Discotheque. :)

Blissfully...

I have forgotten how 'Mysterious Girl' goes, so your attempted impregnation into my head of the ifemminate warblings of that Antipodean Arse-cake bounces harmlessly off me...

My ignorance and shite short term memory are like a shield of steel!

But now...trying to rememebr how it goes...all I can think of is 'Liberian Girl' by Michael Jackson.

DAMN YOU ENZYME!

My flat mate very nearly ruined Led Zep's Good Times Bad Times by waking me up each morning to the muffled sound of it passing through the paper thin walls between our rooms.

The threat of his phone being launched into the street proved sufficient to make him change it.

Bronski Beat - Hit that perfect beat was my first I think, can't remember , the 80's is a bit fuzzy nowadays

Adam and the Ants - Kings of the wild frontier was my first album though!

First single I ever bought...
Was a cover of 'C'mon Everybody' by the Sex Pistols

I was 6 years old.

phew...credability restored...or is it?

First Album? - Kings Of The Wild Frontier by Adam and the Ants. I bought it second hand from one of my sister's friends who had suddenly decided that smoking was a great idea. It cost me 50p that the young lady in question used to buy a packet of 20 JPS.

Lorks I am an old git

@PJM...

I always thought 'Take On Me' was quite decent.

I was DJ at an 80's night recently and that track still got the old badgers grooving

Oh Dear
First album I ever bought - TLC - FanMail.

However, the second I ever bought was S.O.A.D. - Toxicity!

The worrying thing is that the third album I bought was S.O.A.D. - Mesmerize.

They were both new when I bought them!

I don't buy albums much...

80s Classics
A couple of weekends ago, back when it was summer and the sun was shining, me n' the bloke were driving somewhere or other so he could fly his planes, and after much twiddling of the knob (of the radio) we were feeling dejected because modern music is so rubbish, but THEN... Lo! The opening bars of Starship's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" pounded out the the crumbly speakers, and we grinned and wound down the windows and went zooming round the ringroad in a rusty van smelling of diesel, duetting to one of the worst (and therefore the best) 80s songs ever.
Magic.

My first single was 'Them Girls' by those most excellent early morning television puppets, Zig and Zag.

My first album, however, was 'Bat Out of Hell II - Back in to Hell'.
