Yet. Though I do expect to en-bash at the September Southampton one. And I don't think anyone's seen me either, unless I have a very good stalker

Bah
I've only met La Swipe.

Oooh, no, I've met Abefroman as well (sorry, love).

However I mean to rectify this terrible state of affairs in a mere two weeks time at the bash! Yay!

I'm back, by the way...

Am doing all reet, thanks. Adjusting to having to catch the tube in the morning was fun. Weather's shit too.

Also had my first "fuck me, that's expensive" moment when going for a beer after work t'other night and ordering a glass of wine. Fuck me, that was expensive. But I do work in South Ken, so what did I expect.
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 15:41, Reply)
They say you should never meet your heroes...

But I can proudly proclaim from my experience at BGB's bash that my above line is a steaming pile of old armpit.

Everyone I met was nicer, funnier, more intelligent and better company than even my high expectations anticipated

So, sweet BGB, 'twas I that was blessed.

All these people brought their fantastic personalities to the party...and all I had to bring was Bernard :( ...and a penchant for Cider... :)

*simpers at DiT*
Looking forward to adding you to my list...

My list of b3tards I've met that is, nothing more sinister. I don;t have any other types of list you should worry about. Shall I stop typing now?
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 17:18, Reply)
Rakky...
*waves*

You're on my other list...
*smiles*
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 17:23, Reply)
Having just finished...
'Monster' by Jonathan Kellerman, I fear your lists.

But look forward to meeting you!

Right-o, I'm off to get stuck in on the Northern/Central Line. Ah, the lovely commute home!
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 17:25, Reply)
*smiles back at Kaol*
albeit somewhat nervously...

laters, DiT, I'll have to struggle with the Northern Line a bit meself this evening as am off to see Batman in Islington later...
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 17:40, Reply)
Ah, Batman!
Have fun, t'was rather good!
The other list is "b3ta-folk I'd like to meet"
The other other list is the one you want to worry about.
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 17:48, Reply)
Ye gads!
you've just invented a social networking site!
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 17:59, Reply)
I've already seen batman
once, but my housemate is having a work do at my house and I don;t feel much like small talk.

Yes, it was that other list I was concerned about.

Dammit, how do I do the italics thing again?
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 18:02, Reply)
Maybe...
Will you be my "friend" rich?

I've gotta go now, people have gone home so I'm gonna sneak into the workshop to make a coffin.

Rakky, it's italics like that.
But with pointy brackets.
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 18:03, Reply)
what?
like this?

YAY!
(, Wed 13 Aug 2008, 18:13, Reply)
I've met
clendrix
wellgroomedwookiee
wanderlust
madam marlboro
kaol
ancrenne
vipros
Plus one of my real-life friends who I know has a b3ta account.

This list is expected to explode the following weeekend.

It's early days yet, but some b3tans came accross as being watered down versions of their b3ta personae (I suspect the ones I met probably think the same way about me).

Maybe we should make a graph with each one of us as a node and a line to show we've met IRL. I'd expect it will soon look like a complicated web. On the other hand, on another forum I frequent, this graph would look more like a knotted chain (there have only been mini-meetups).
