Good morning All
I has a strange dream on the bus this morning. Much Like seasonTicketless yesterday its funny what you think about when your asleep isn't it ?
I was in my higher english class from many moons ago, and was being told that Terry Pratchett wasn't considered Literary enough to do my final book report type thing on. (I thought, at the time that following character development over 3 books was sufficient for high school, but I digress) With the benefit of hindsight, I began to outline my counter argument. It was pretty good, in my head.
Is there anything that you wished you'd said at the time, but didn't get a really good retort until well after the fact?
And in general, how is eveyone today?

I go over several situations in my life and wish I'd said or done differently. Mostly when daydreaming though. I blame it on my analytical brain :(
@ Clendrix: Ning!
@ TGB: The isle of wight isn't that great this time of year, even when you had a gf to look forward to seeing when you got there.
@ MrsLIAB: Mental images like that isn't good for a lazy morning at work!

I'm good today. Practicing harmonica in the office kicks ass! Plus, from 5pm I get to spend 72 whole hours hanging out with my daughter.
*dances*
Edit: TGB... where bouts are you going? I've spent a lot of time in Ryde.

So twice as mad! We are going to Robin Hill on the Monday I believe and weather depending we either take a trip to the needles or Ventnor radar station and admire the views.
Saturday will be spent in Sandown at my friends garage replacing the interior of my car!

The RADAR station is pretty cool I must admit, great views when the sun is out.
I went up there once, there was a bunch of toffs in tweed loading their shotguns outside the entrance to a wood.
300 yards up the road the field on the opposite side of the road was full of pheasants, maybe they aren't that stupid after all!

In English
A long time ago....
During some kind of book report / group reading, a observant student picked out an example where the author used in part of the story:
(something like) "He finally realised he had forgotten his pencil and his ruler and his homework and his P.E. kit..."
Obviously nobody likes seeing so many 'ands' being used in one sentence but apparently it conveys a sense of a long and desperate list or something.
ANYWAY!
The following week, being the bright pupil I was, I tried using this excessive 'and-ing' in a story I wrote. The teacher quickly went nuts saying at this level I shouldn't be making such basic mistakes.
Didn't have the balls to explain what I was doing, so no doubt she had me down as a retard for the rest of term :(

I've been invited for tea and fondant fancies with the Queen.
She's heard about my sterling work be-friending internet nerds and she wants to give me an OBE.
Then I'm off to carry on my charity work by meeting up with some internet loners and getting them to socialize in a comfortable and safe environment.
Modesty stops me from telling you how good I am at this work.

The TC needs a lot of work (resrpay mainly as it's red with a blue roof.. long story) but she is getting a new interior and windscreen rubber to stop the leaks this weekend. I have a 1.3 as well but that needs a lot of work. And it currently doesn't have any seats. And the clutch doesn't work. Or the brakes. And the battery is dead but the engine will actually run.. so that's good :) *happily dreams about cars for a while*

God - God
Lucifer - The Fallen Angel
Darwin - An Action Naturalist
Dodo - The Bounty Hunter
Jennifer Spry - The Headless Essex Girl
Clint Spark - The Hopeless Reporter

Hello everybody
So is everybody (who's comming that is) excited about the bash tomorrow?
Do I find you well this day?
I'm doing some work (?) atm, it involves sorting out where my place of work has spent it's fucktons of cash this year. Now there are a lot of abreviations used by the lazy people here who don't want to type out the full name of the company, that's fine by me because they tend to be easily readable.
One that has just gotten me a load of funny looks in the office though was The British Psychological Society, which was shortened (badly) to The Brit Psycho Sock.
It also made me chortle because I can't immagine just how thick this person must be to abreviate society to sock!
EDIT Happy B3taday Al

What is the context of the book?
Is it (stealing a phrase) a brief history of time where you work through the ages or mainly set in "modern" times? Or are you mixing it up. I'd like to see Eve guilt tripping Adam into buying her new shoes.

I love old cars, but they are really easy to become way too attached to. :)
Marinas get a lot of stick but they are fun and easy to work on and everyone in the club is awesome :) this propaganda was brought to you by the Morris Marina Press Office

Mr Bin agrees Ms Badger.
He loved their Marina. Do you have any pictures? He'd love to see them!

I certainly am
Though sadly carless at the moment. This is not a good situation.
I'm also very in to motorbikes as well.

Thanks GB
I shall show them to Mr Bin when he comes home for lunch.
There are quite a few pictures. I don't think that many Marinas have been together in one place since the unions went on strike at British Leyland.

hehe
I think we have about 350 cars in the club and the DVLA says about 600 on the road or SORN'd only 72 Itals remaining though.
Our National in June had over 40 cars including 9 Itals which was pretty good :) Expecting 25+ this weekend as well.
*is full of useless Marina knowledge*
