I'm hating our stupid fucking global people
with their "local country support can help" and then not giving us any fucking permissions.

Yeah, it's great.
So we have to log faults for our users, all of whom have problems that are world-endingly urgent according to the endless nagging we get, which take several weeks to resolve.

Yeah. When I worked for an oil company it took days for someone to get permissions to our application as it went though so many hands.
And despite us supporting the app, we weren't allowed to grant it.
Did managers know the approval process? Yep. Did they know it was stupid? Yep. Did it stop them nagging people who were powerless to do anything? Did it fuck.

When I was Marketing Director for "an Oil Company" back in 1768
I short cut all of that and did everything by carrier pigeon

Our Marketing department needed a particular Google+ app.
So I sat down, worked out what was needed. Just a pretty simple OU set up and an app rolled out to it. Except I've got no rights. I tell the one global guy, he gives me a smug "I know", then has a conversation with an American who opens it up to the entire company.
EXCELLENT BEST PRACTICE PROVISION OF AS NEEDED ACCESS THERE, GUYS.

User Access Control
Get this, you can log directly onto the console of a server as an Enterprise Admin (never mind Domain Admin) and if UAC is on you still can't even modify a text file unless you right click to "Run As Administrator"... which you are anyway
