Molly and Golly
I'm pleased to announce that last night Molly and Golly (my 2 fish, both mollies, one black and one gold) became proud parents to a little school of 9 tidgy mollies.
Mother and father are both well and the kids are swimming around nicely.
CONGRATULATIONS MOLLY AND GOLLY, DADDY LOVES YOU XOXOX

my friend
had these at uni. we were crouching over the tank cooing at them, when to our horror, the awful japanese fighting fish just sucked 3 of them up like so much spaghetti!
you don't know what impossible is, until you've chased tiny mollies around a tank with a spoon trying to put them in a safe breeding net until they are big enough not to be hors d'oeuvre!

I have a breeding pair of Kribensis that keep spawning, but I can never get to the babies quick enough and don't have room for a separate tank for them :-(
Kribensis are ace fish though.

@DG
Have you tried making a wee "cave" for your Kribs? We did this (oh, many years ago) and mummy Krib defended them fiercely. We ended up taking the young to the pet shop she had so many.
We used small pieces of cleaned slate, but a plant pot buried in the gravel would probably work, too.

I've got a rather large ornamental tree stump that they lurk around, which has loads of nooks and crannies to hide in - they defend it pretty aggresively when they have to. Unfortunately the babies still seem to end up as fish food.
