Good Moaning
And off to the fun-filled experience of A&E again in a sec....
(Junior has twatted himself headfirst into a cupboard while 'seeing if he could stand on one leg while getting his cars to go really fast' [no, I have no idea either] hence nicely split lip and a need for stitches)
I suggested a bit of tape and an icepack, but it's his school class photo tomorrow so apparently we need someone professional to stick him back together.
Any bets on the delay on a Sunday morning after they've swept the Stella'd-up detritus of Saturday night up?

Ta for the offer, I'd do it myself as there's not a lot you can do for teeth-through-lip as there's nowt to stitch really, glueing just dissolves in dribble, so a bit of tape and ice should do the trick....
However, I've waited 5 hours the last 2 times I dragged what was left of myself in, hopefully the triage nurse will tell the Mrs to bog off with some calpol and gaffa tape.
(Note every other department is ace, A&E just needs a revamp)

I lucked out on the musical genes, but my brothers are both freaks of nature.
There's no better way to spend a sunday though... sunshine, good company, good live music, and I'm considered an honourary member so I'm usually invited to partake of the free feast supplied by mad Italian Jerry the landlord :)
Speaking of which, I bet you're looking forward to that lamb casserle even more after yesterday, lol.

No stitches required for junior, although some sort of anchor to slow him down might be nice.
Wasn't even too much of a wait, as they fast-track the anklebiters,so we were in, triaged, and saw the maxfac slasher within an hour. I knew dressing as Big Bird and carrying a shotgun was a winning strategy....
Now to sneak a bit of F1 - Coulthard's just done the fuel hose thang as well

Sounds very much like
the Stonewell BK. They do funky jazz type stuff, but it depends who turns up. The band my bro is in usually go (the line up changes in the band too, depending on who turns up for gigs!) and they have an outstanding repertoire - it's great to see other musicians joining in, making the songs totally different every time.
this is my bro's band (give Mr Clean a listen, it's awesome, my bro unleashes the spirit of Jimi) (oh and Memphis/Sissy Strutt is great too)
Here's a couple of vids from one of their gigs. I recently discovered my camera has much better sound quality than my phone, as you can see from the vids myspace...
Frissel Frazzle at the John O Gaunt
Mr Clean at the John O Gaunt
Right! I am full of bubble and squeak and ready to head out. Enjoy your sunday everyone :)

Requires standing around like a nana in colour co-ordinated Sparco romper suit & matching accessories, holding a lollipop shaped object.
Must be able to randomly rotate said object, and this is important, NOT raise it until the shiny tubey thing is removed from the carbon fibre roary thing with the midget strapped inside.
Failure to observe the above will result in a well-deserved shoeing from your soon to be former colleagues.

Fungus is awesome!
For several reasons:
It's not a plant, and animal or a bacteria.
They're entirely made up of tiny strings.
Some of them are "magic".
They taste delicious.

Because I'm just brilliant I overslept and arrived in Edinburgh 3 hours later than I'd wanted. I also managed to get lost trying to leave Edinburgh and held up on the M6. Ah well.
Would've been nice to meet people in Warwick but I had a great weekend anyway so it's all good.

I've just graduated with Spanish and Italian but there are few language roles going at the mo so any sort of admin entry level roles.
Basically, anything I can get!

I don't believe we've had the pleasure of introduction.
I'm still here, playing Far Cry and tabbing back to this.

oh bugger
i graduated with spanish and portuguese and had a ridiculous time finding work :(
everything was in london and i didn't want to live there or commute.
i should have taken some translation and interpreting courses to boost my chances of a job, but i couldn't afford to do any more studying.
a PGCE would have allowed me to go into teaching at secondary school, but i was just sick of studying and just wanted to do something different.
so i ended up teaching ESOL to adults. i've been doing that for 5 or 6 years, but it's changed a lot and now i hate it.
so now i'm looking for something else. gah.
but as you're looking in london, you find something soon enough :)

Don't bother with "Heroes", it's ok, but not worth it.
Watch "Prison Break" Best....show....ever! Even better than "24" and that's a big call!

have you tried jobs.ac.uk? There are always a gillion admin jobs going in universities.
Yes, a gillion.
Edit: there are indeed sexy blokes in Prison Break, but not as sexy as that guy in Supernatural.

Even better than Sopranos? NOTHING is better than the Sopranos...
BB - My sister did Spanish and Portuguese. The other option is to live with her for a moth and do a CELTA in Swansea and then try again with an extra qualification.

"Sopranos" is good, I'll grant you, but "Prison Break" urinates all over it's miserable head! So does, "24", "Top Gear" and "House".
@clendrix
I'm not sure about "sexy blokes", but T-Bag is the man! Granted he's a child molesting, racist, sexist, untrustworthy, murdering rapist, but he's not all bad!

it's where I looked when I moved to London with no skills in admin, and I found somewhere really quickly. Good luck!
Kaol, it's not really stretching one intellectually, but who gives a shit about that? It's fun!
And Stig, can a man with that many qualifications really be all bad? I think not.
Lord, if I refer to any more people in one post, I'll be out-doing Spak!

the one month CELTA courses are ok if you need a qualification quickly, but they don't really prepare you as well for teaching as the year long Trinity Cert TESOLs do. You get a lot more teaching practice with the longer courses and more time to assimilate the huge workload.
but it depends what you want to do. the CELTA is fine for EFL ( english for students who aren't immigrants here). i think if you're going to be working in london, it'll be easier for you to find full time EFL work and you'll gain teaching experience quickly.
whatever you do, don't work for the government unless you want a neverending barrage of pointless paperwork and a salary that averages out at minimum wage for the amount of work you're actually expected to put in ;)

Seems to be sucky in the extreme; I simply can't see the appeal of Larry whatsisname making a fool of himself. It may, however, speak volumes as to the level of the intelligence of the average American that they seem to enjoy it.

have a good day tomorrow :) EDIT: you too flesh!
My mum knows I smoke, I think my dad is clever enough to have figured it out... I smoke around my mum (obviously not in her house though! But she does let me smoke in the garden) I would never smoke round my dad though.
But as I don't live with them makes it easier for me to indulge my evil habits :D
