Evening all
Ninja was taken in by a single parent and her 7 year old. She was crying her eyes out when they brought him round. "Daddy doesn't love us anymore, and mommy said we can keep the kitten".
They don't have much, and can barely afford any extras outside of rent and bills. I gave 'em the $50 reward, extra kitten food and told them to look after him.
In return, I can go see him every day. They'd even put a collar on him with a new name "Blackie".
Did I do the right thing? At least I know he's safe, and I think I made a little girl very happy.

Just got back from retrieving my bike from Kings Cross. It survived the 2 week stay at the KX bike racks and cycled all the way here.
In other news, my first day at work went well. The atmosphere is laid back but I've got a metric fucktonne of documentation to read. I have to use a special Internet terminal instead of the machine in my desk to access the 'net. Also, I cannot use USB memory-sticks on my machine. Missed my lunchbreak coz I was waiting to see if a group of colleagues would invite me out to lunch but they didn't. Also, for some reason, the HR-resource manager type person keeps winking at me.

Spent stripping down an old website of mine, so my housemate's pupils can use it as a basis for building a website of their own. All commented out and everything, I forgot how bloody tedious coding html can be! What have you lot been up to?

I can understand the full control, but the auto-complete is just so damned handy. That and the code is all nice and coloured. And indented. And I always double check in Firefox. I think the last time I used pure WYSIWYG was ooh, nearly 10 years ago now?

I suppose, still, I cut my teeth in notepad, went to Frontpage (whoops!), then thought sod this and downloaded a copy of Dreamweaver. Works for me, and I mostly keep it in code/design view anyways, so I can see what my editing does on the fly. Mind you, it's not so bad with a cup of tea and Led Zep on the stereo.

No not too technical
I use dreamweaver too.
I have been given all the images for the Marina calendar to sort out and make look pretty.. but instead of making my life easy and giving me the source images I have horrible wonky scanned things with borders on that means I have to cut the image out, try and get it straight then re-align with the other images.
If he had just given me all the images it would have saved me so much time.
And I am only half way through *cries*
One of the images is too far gone though I am going to have to request the source images. He also seems to like randomly placing an image in the middle of four others thus blocking out most of the stuff on the other pictures.
*sighs* I may need to smoke more
