Good Saturday to you all
It's Saturday, the beginning of the weekend! What's your favourite thing about the weekend?

Morning PoD
It is a beautiful morning here, but I have no idea what we are going to do today.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 9:44, Reply)
Morning Mrs Bin
I have a fun day ahead of me, involving doing some work, and making some food. Many funs shall be had.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 9:52, Reply)
I'm trying to work out what the best way
to the bash tonight is.

I either:

Drive to the train station, get the train (and tube) to the London bash, and vice versa (and can't really drink as I have to drive home from the station anyway).

Or

Drive to London, don't drink, and drive back.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 10:28, Reply)
If you have to drive anyway
I would probably just drive in all the way. Saves stupid trains.

Not that I've ever driven in London.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 10:35, Reply)
Good mornig
It's a bright sunshiney day here in London. In the afternoon, I'll go for a walk, and in the evening, it's the b3tabash.

Now that I'm employed again, I can once again use the weekend as a chance to wind down.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 10:46, Reply)
Sunshine?
It's pissing down here. Which is not so bad as we have a day of household chores to look forward to.

*Jealouses at bash goers*
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 10:58, Reply)
I have a choice...
Remotely configure a call centre package

or configure a phone system

when I rather be playing with the dogs
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 11:19, Reply)
It's lovely here too (sorry DG)
I may go wash my car.

Also I am very happy I can now fit into some jeans I bought ages ago without trying on that were about 2 inches too small *does a little dance*
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 11:25, Reply)
.
@DG: Pity about the weather, but it's an excuse to get the chores out the way.

@TGB: Congrats. I've got a few trousers I can't fit into, but whenever I go backpacking, I defiantly take them in the hope I'll lose enough weight to fit into them.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 11:44, Reply)
I have that annoying
"breaking in new jeans" phase though. I hate that :(

Backpacking is probably a good way to shed a few excess pounds!
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 11:59, Reply)
Harro!
How's it going? I finally got broadband for my flat woohoo! Although I'm in work at the moment which is distinctly un-woohoo.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 12:17, Reply)
Morning HCFB
But just think, you get to play with it when you get home later.

And I've just finished my first piece of work for the day. Yay!
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 12:18, Reply)
Work?
On a Saturday?

I cleaned the kitchen does that count?
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 12:29, Reply)
I have many works to do today
But none of them are too hard, just tedious.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 12:31, Reply)
PoD
Yeah I can't wait to get home and...bugger about on b3ta. Work = b3ta, home = b3ta. Partyyyyyy.

How's the uni going?

TGB....nope. :)
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 12:50, Reply)
I'm heading off on my walk
See you at the pub bashgoers!
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 12:54, Reply)
Uni is going busily
With an added side order of busyness. On the good side, I'm doing well with everything so far, which is nice.

I still find the odd moment for b3ta too. But not much time for socialising.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 12:54, Reply)
Socialising
Is over-rated. Internet friends ftw :p
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 13:01, Reply)
Internet friends
Seem to be featuring more in my life these days, rather worryingly.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 13:02, Reply)
I don't spend half as much time online
as my housemate though so I don't feel bad :p

He is my geek-o-meter :p
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 13:08, Reply)
Yeah internet friends rock
All my real ones (I do have some) are a bit shit anyway!

PoD Good stuff, you're still enjoying it then? How's life back in Glasgow?

There's a really annoying busker outside the shop that's been singing Bowie songs for the past hour and half. It's making my head hurt.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 13:22, Reply)
Throw things at him
Oxford is always full of buskers, which is probably why I don't miss living there :p
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 13:30, Reply)
bloody hell
it's cold and wet outside.

It's like GLasgow weather (yes I said this yesterday as well). Went for some food so now I'm sorted for the second half of the Celtic game. Bit shit so far.

How be everyone today?
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 13:33, Reply)
Life in Glasgow
Is mostly wet with occasional dry spells. It involves many works and spending much times in my flat, in uni, or eating.

Apart from that, it's good. Good to catch up with friends I hadn't seen all summer.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 13:42, Reply)
Noon all
It's wet and windy here :(

(Note that I said IT'S wet and windy, not I'M wet and windy)

I have decided to stay in bed until this evening, when I shall make soup, light the fire and have an evening in front of the telly.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 14:40, Reply)
hey warmfuzzy
How you doing? Feeling better?

Watch the X-Factor. It's the bomb. And yes I just said "the bomb".

PoD Ahhh that sounds like the Glasgow I know and love, can't wait to get back to it!

Flesh I'm good ta, you? How's the Celtic game? I hope they lose :D
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 14:47, Reply)
Hello Batman
Glad your internet arrived :) I was starting to feel a bit shouty on your behalf.

Things are still a bit poo with me, but as it is the weekend I have decided that escapism is allowed, and I shall resume feeling poo on monday.

EDIT: Oh yes, and I do plan to watch the X Factor :)
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 15:02, Reply)
I made a very polite chap
cry on the phone last night. I do not feel good about that in anyway (possibly a little)

Awww that sucks you're still feeling crap though *hugs*

By escapism do you mean b3ta and reality tv? Because that's the cure for everything don't you know :)
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 15:05, Reply)
Possibly the worst
Celtic game I've seen all season (total Celtic games seen thi season: 1).

Struggled at times, but came away with 3 points.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 15:13, Reply)
Hey Fuzzy :)
Yay for more X-Factor addicts!

I'm debating if I can be bothered to go to Tescos. My housemate wants to go to the one in Cov for some reason even though there is one about 4 times nearer in Warwick. Strange chap that he is.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 15:15, Reply)
Oh dear Batman :(
You could always send him some flowers?

Yes, escapism consists of b3ta, reality tv (and some unreality tv too, I actually really enjoy ITV saturday night tv, like You've Been Framed and Family Fortunes)... ooh and I've just seen that Time Team is on too... oh but it clashes :(
and playing lots of mindless games like Staries and Boggle.

I might get drunk. I would resort to drugs too if I hadn't given them up.

EDIT: hello TGB and flesh! *waves*
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 15:17, Reply)
I didn't get his name
and they courier guys he works for are useless. His manager refused to speak to me which is just shit.

Don't do drugs, drugs are bad. Mmmmkay?

So who's your favourite for x-factor then?
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 15:35, Reply)
my brother
went for an X-Factor audition in Glasgow this year.

didn't get in the door....
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 15:42, Reply)
motherfucking cunts
broke into my crappy wee car and stole the front (only the front, mind) of my CD player but I'm more pissed off at having to hunt down a new quarter light and even more pissed off at having to wait hours for the cops to fingerprint the CDs they left behind. Yes, thieves left my CDs. Again. They hate my taste in music.

So I don't have a favourite thing about the weekend.
Someday I'm going to come on this goddamn motherfucking website and not be angry. Maybe.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 15:58, Reply)
Sorry bout that CHCB :(
*offers alcohol*
You have any scrappies near you for a new quarterlight?
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:00, Reply)
Aye
there's one near my boyfriend's house and it's open on Sundays so I'll try there first. My mate in Norn Iron has the exact window I need but we reckoned it'd be cheaper to buy one from a yard than to courier it across the Irish Sea.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:03, Reply)
Afternoon all
Well I've done naff all today.

I ate out from both breakfast and lunch because I'm a big tart. Now I'm avoiding cleaning by talking to you guys!
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:30, Reply)
Holy Crap!
I've got another job interview next week. They have just e-mailed as the interview is on Wednesday and the short listing committee has only met today and they wanted to give me as much notice as possible.

Hurrah!
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:44, Reply)
CHCB
has had the crappiest day so far then...
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:44, Reply)
Congratulations Mrs Bin
And condolences CHCB.

It's another bright, sunny, warm California morning again!
Hope you all have fun at the bas0h!

(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 21:16, Reply)
Oh PoD
Isn't it disappointing when there is nothing new.
It's rather like being stood up.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 21:31, Reply)
It is rather
I've resulted to nocturnal tidying and cleaning instead.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 21:35, Reply)
Well the X-Factor
was interesting. As in most of the people crashed and burned in spectacular fashion.

On the plus side I now have plans for tomorrow *mini woos*
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 21:39, Reply)
Oooo
plans!

I have no plans, more to the point I have run out of biscuits.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 21:42, Reply)
Plans? Plans?
What crazy talk is this TGB? And how are you this fine evening?
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 21:43, Reply)
Evening all
It's not normal to have a headache for 48 hours now, is it?
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 21:48, Reply)
Well it depends
How much have you been drinking?
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 21:58, Reply)
No Piston it is not :(
Are you drinking plenty of water?

And I am off to see my friend tomorrow with another friend! Yes, I have two friends *smugs*

I'm very well thanks, how's you?
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 21:59, Reply)
I'm drinking plenty of water
And tea, so it isn't a lack of caffeine headache. I'm going with intra-sinal pressure due to having a raging cold.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 22:00, Reply)
That sounds
likely.

Have you taken anything?
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 22:04, Reply)
The train to Mum's house...
Other than that, no.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 22:05, Reply)

nothing on TV, and (still) no friends here :(
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 22:10, Reply)

Just having a quiet night, watching Hancock. It's fairly poor.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 22:21, Reply)

Ooh X-Factor results! Girlband should go, they suck more than a dyson
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 22:34, Reply)
Just testing something
So just ignore me :-P
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 22:44, Reply)
