Posted this in the other question but...
Quick question as I don't know if i'm being out of order or not.

Say your missus was wanting to go to her work Christmas party wearing the kind of dress that you need to use boob tape in order to stay decent. It was a dress you'd helped her choose because you were going to go out together in a few months time on a special night out. You weren't going to be going to the work do and it was going to be earlier than your night out. She looks absolutely storming hot in it.

I can be a bit jealous, so I was wondering if you guys would be ok with that or not?
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 17:33, Reply)
Hmm...
I'm getting picked up in half an hour.
So...
I could sit in a empty room with you, or I could blow the fuck out of homeless people on Fallout...

Bye!

*waves*

EDIT: Kroney, I'm sure it'll be fine. If you've got a good relationship, then there's nothing to worry about. If you haven't, then it'll give you a reason to move on.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 17:34, Reply)
hmmm
Why should you have a problem with her wearing it if you helped her choose it?

And if she looks hot in it, you can be all smug in the knowledge that she's yours.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 17:36, Reply)
I agree with tulip,
If you can trust her, then I don't think you need worry.

(I'm assuming her colleagues are safe company, at any rate)

Obviously I can understand why you might be a little put out that you don't get to spend the evening ogling her in said top...but then you are the only one that gets to see her naked.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 17:38, Reply)
I helped her choose it because
I was under the impression that it was for our night out, that's all.

If I'm being out of order, fair enough.

@supreme crow: some of her work colleagues fancy her, we think, but I certainly don't suspect her of anything. There's no chance of that, at all.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 17:39, Reply)
Ah, sorry, I may have had the wrong end of the stick
I thought the issue was more to do with attracting unwanted male attention.

I don't know...I wouldn't have said you were being out of order, but then it's probably not something to get too worked up about. It's not as if she's doing it to spite you; I presume she just likes the dress.

(Though if it's really that nice then I wouldn't have thought a work do was that much of a special occasion, but there we go...)
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 17:43, Reply)
Well
I'm not comfortable with a load of guys ogling her when I'm not about, but I fully recognise that that's my issue to deal with, not hers.

Meh. I'm just being a bit jealous I guess.

Thanks, everyone :)
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 17:45, Reply)
will she still wear it on your night out?
if so, she's getting her money's worth!
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 17:46, Reply)
Haha
That's what she said, HLT :)

I kind of knew I was being a bit out of order, but it's nice to get some unbiased input every now and again.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 17:47, Reply)
Gutted.
I just wrote a response to that stella woman telling her why people were trolling her post.
But she deleted it :(

People like that give me the angries.

EDIT: How rude of me! Evening folks :)

Evening All
I had a day teaching a bunch of shit bags.

What news for here?

*edit* What post was that then Wander?
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 18:00, Reply)
I explored!
After my nice lunch I had a wander about & saw some architecture and stuff, then I saw the statue/fountain of the little boy peeing which still makes me giggle!

Now I have a 1/2 litre of Stella and am waiting about 3/4 of an hour before I face passport control and all that jazz.

I'll get back home at about 11:30 which isn't too bad as my local is open till 2 so I can still have a little boogie before bed! :-D

Edit for iPhone autocorrect stupidity

You want to be careful no one takes advantage of you.

I'm waiting for my pie to cook. Cook pie! Cook!!!

Charles I think you win. I had to google secondlife because I am just so cool and not at all geeky...
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 19:16, Reply)
Wish I had a local open till 2..
..drinking's more fun if you start late and go on late.

Think I might get out to the pub now.. hmmm.. I've got my last 8 quid to spend until Monday. It had better get me more than two pints.

I could go back to my old regular pub and enjoy the £1.50 any pint Thursday evening knees-up (freehouse going back generations of family ownership in a no-horse town in the depths of the Midlands) but I fell out with the regulars for being anti-BNP and "posh". They're a bunch of cuntbags.. I really shouldn't go back.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 19:20, Reply)
@mrs bin
It was the last answer posted on last weeks QOTW then she posted it again this afternoon. She was entering her baby in a baby of the year contest. She said that some of the other children on there weren't as cute as hers. When some people said it had no relevance to the question and started making bad taste jokes she got defensive and complained about trolls.
If you post anything on a public forum you leave it open to criticism.
I don't agree with such contests. That is just my opinion though, I don't think I'm better than her...Each to her own and all that. I just think she came across as being a hypocrite, that's all.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 19:21, Reply)
I went out for pound a pint
yesterday. And then to a pub that is open till 3. I regretted that a little this morning...

Yeah, I saw that post as well - fortunately my steam driven work internet wouldn't let me see any of the pics.

I'm sure the child is 'lovely' - but why post something begging for random strangers to vote for it?

In other news, we're getting very excited for the upcoming visit of a certain lady B3tan 'pantrepreneur' tomorrow. Yay!

hmmm
..carrying a hip-flask around is starting to become an appealing option. I'd get spotted though. That's the kind of thing I always get spotted doing. I know too many people in this town. And I like drinking a nice pint of ale in the pub too much.

Hello everyone.
My twopenneth.

I think the post about the baby competition was funny and sweet. It's not like she was going to win a load of money. Your all far too cynical.

Edit - and Kroney. If you've got a hot girlfriend and she mad about you then for God's sake let her wear what she wants. Then walk around with a smug grin on your face because she's all yours.

Edit 2 - Puts feminist hat on. It's not about ownership, it's about self-esteem.

Next week, I'm geeking out playing the new World of Warcraft expansion for the whole time.

EDIT Remember to pack warm cloths for your trip to the frozen North, Oilskins and furry boots are the way to go, and watch out for the Panzerbjorn.

Miss food for Warcraft?
Never, I have played it for 8 hours straight before, but I still stopped every now and then to get drinks and food, I'm not that bad.

I do know somebody who got kicked out of Uni for failing her second year exams due to it though.

I didn't know you sang Drixy, you will have to let me hear your sweet voice the next time I see you.
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 21:33, Reply)
Ha, Dok!
Just cos I sing, doesn't mean I can do it to any effective purpose.

Poor Wookiee is only just recovering from hearing me sing 'Wuthering Heights' at top volume last Saturday :)

Drixy
I can't believe that your voice is that bad.

Ancrenne...
you should have heard me belt it out at top volume! You'll be pleased to know I hit all the right notes, though.

What have you been writing? Business proposals? Posts? Or lovely letters?

Dok, I can hold a tune, but I'm no expert. We'll have to find a karaoke bar in Edinburgh...

Thanks goodness for that Miss crenne, I was starting to worry there.

Thank you, dear Ancrenne.
I'm sure you have a lovely voice, but I always say that passion is the most important part anyway. Good voice with no passion? Worthless!

For the record,
Clenderton sings like an angel.

*sighs*
(, Thu 6 Nov 2008, 22:30, Reply)

The sigh is because in a couple of days I will be too far away to hear the Clendertones at all :( Bloody Saaaarf London.

I am sick of packing and my shoulder is fucked.

'bout an hour or so :(

I'm back - briefly. Been trying to make our place look a little less like a bomb site and a bit more like a warm, comforting home for ancrenne.

It's partially worked... hooray for having a half day tomorrow!

I have been upsettingly productive, but now I am sleepy. Besides, I have to be just as useful again tomorrow.

Yes.
I needed that smoke, must have been longer than I thought since the last one. Much less grumpy now :) I shall save my drinking for after I've moved though, it's going to be stressful enough without a hangover on top of it.

Sounds like a fun place Bill, get older quicker!

EDIT - And how rude of me, hello again Clenderton.
