Yes Bill!
Cos I'm skint, haven't been spending, and therefore haven't been fuelling the economy by buying overpriced shit that I don't need;)

Going down on the train after work on the 28th.
Might try and take a half day though.
(, Thu 13 Nov 2008, 20:01, Reply)
Considering I finish at 5:30
I can realistically get a train down that evening, pretty much as soon as I finish work. Or convince the boss to let me off an hour early.

Cool!
It'll probably cost me a bit, I'll need to wait until pay day on the 25th til I can book the tickets:(

Also, in case we miss the last tube back, it's really close to a night-bus stop.

2.6GB for a game-patch. Holy crap! That's more than 1/4 my monthly broadband-limit.

@BGB: I like the image of you on b3ta in a mudpack. Do you also have cucumbers on your eyes?

If they could invent a 2-person face-pack, I'm sure ancrenne would make a lovely face-pack partner.

I don't think it officially has yet
Me and Miss Wonderlust did a test run there last night after a chat with the YG bar staff.

Hopefully Miss WL Gazzed Becks today to suggest the venue change.

It's an OK venue for big events but I like the YG for smaller ones more.

Is confuzzed! It's worked for me for about 48 hours.

The other option is a proper champagne stopper with the foldy down bits that grip the neck properly, if you use a normal wine stopper it tends to blow off in the fridge overnight as it doesn't grip enough to keep the bubbly delicousness in!

Mista, I DO has a job! It's in the local chemist, and it's perfect and I am lucky. It's nearby (and as I live out in the sticks that's a huge advantage), I will get trained to NVQ level 3 in selling drugs (!), my colleagues are all brilliant, and the shop itself is absolutely lully.
It's a listed building with curved doors and dark wooden shelves, and has had the same customers for 80 years or so! Most of them are real characters.
And I get a staff discount at Boots just in time for Christmas shopping, which is the most important thing as far as my mum's concerned!

Mrs L - congrats on your job too! Huzzahs all round!

It's funny, I've only worked three days and already I have a "pharmacy assistant" head on.
My mum has just come down with a cold and I was talking to her on the phone...
I asked her "so, you're congested, do you have a cough too? is it productive? sore throat? headache? aches and pains? has it got to your sinuses? are you taking any other medication?"
and I knew exactly which thing to get for her (using my staff discount, haha!)

And already I have learned that you develop quite a peculiar sense of humour when you have people describing their symptoms to you all day...
