Have a wank
that'll make you feel better.

I get immensely drunk
to drink the pain away.. I think I need help.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 23:33, Reply)
I always used
to resort to cheap alcohol and razor blades.

Not the best advice I have to say.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 23:37, Reply)
its alcohol that got me into this funk in the first place

I draw pictures of things.
If it's a person that's getting you down, draw a picture of them.
Cut in half.
On fire.
In Slough.

I draw pictures of
your mum.

I'm so dreadfully sorry, I mistook this for /talk, wrong tab.

*shrugs*
I draw pictures of you.
Every night.

Tonight you're having your skin eaten off by rogue tapirs.

I'd suggest
Cheering up usually stops me feeling depressed.

Or alternatively, have a wank. But, stop right at the last second and let it go away again. That way, you don't get the post self-abuse shame and self-loathing afterwards when you're sitting there balancing a small puddle of spunk on the top of your clenched fist.

Just get drunk
And text everyone exactly what you want to say to them! You'll feel good for about an hour before reality kicks in.

may make you feel more depressed in long term

Or
use that night underpants to catch it in. That way you feel obliged to change them the next day.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 23:50, Reply)
Get some sleep first
Then tomorrow call a close friend and have a long talk with them. Over tea or something. Tell them what is on your mind. Or just have a long wank.

What piston_broke said
It's much better to let things out in the long term.

I used to bottle everything up inside and it made day to day life pretty shit.

Once I let everything out (to my parents in this case) I decided to not bottle things up any more are deal with things as and when they happen.

I'm much happier now but it did take an extremely low point in my life to break the cycle I was in. Best if you can do it yourself.

Good luck though - at least it's nice to know there are people you've never met who care.

Go for a walk.
Wrap up warm, put on some sturdy shoes and get yourself out there for a couple of hours. In the countryside/park etc.

Then have a wank.
(, Thu 4 Dec 2008, 4:02, Reply)
All of the above
Exercise and wanking are both good. Put all the aggression into some weights or pushing yourself up a hill. Amazing how much stress it can take off. And fresh veg, lots of it. And lots of sleep, once you're knackered from all the exercise and living off veg, lol

Yep, prob doesn't sound like much but I find getting run down makes me hate everything and everyone with ease.

If none of that works, maybe a bag of frozen peas so you can pretend it's someone else helping you wank ;-)

Cheer the fuck up
always works for me.

EDIT and what becky said too, you'll never be unhappy if you keep your hands busy.
(, Thu 4 Dec 2008, 8:55, Reply)
Drugs, (from the doctor), always worked for me.
Oh and Lolcats.
(, Thu 4 Dec 2008, 9:16, Reply)
Citalopram or Prozac
Mind you, the best cure I found for my depression was a sex change operation. Message me if I have helped!

My guide to beating depression:

Exercise thrice weekly.
Stop drinking alcohol.
Stop smoking pot/cigarettes.
Exit the house and spend time in the outdoors at least once a day for at least half an hour.
Eat more fruit.
Eat more nuts and seeds (oo-er!).
Try speaking to complete strangers as often as possible, coming across friendly and affable is of the highest importance.
Don't be nasty to people. Ever. You may always have a good point but the negatives on both parties involved outweight the goods.
Go on a spending spree. Get nice clothes that make you feel lovely.
When you're in a self-pitying mood, stop whatever you're doing and do something that you either love or do some exercise. E.g. put on banging and upbeat tunes at full blast, play an awesome computer game, cook your favourite dinner etc etc

Apologies for ze obvious and ze lack of funnies but all of the above if adhered to will make you a champion.
