And Ive formed an unnatural addiction to godlenballs (the telly show)
Ive got work tomorrow and Im actually going to sky plus it. Ive never watched anything so shit and so good in my entire life.

ever seen bits of it. Never understood what it's about to be honest.

And 1:49 left.
Some of the numeric sequence ones made me think a bit though.
Perhaps you're wearing too many clothes Mrs Bin...
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 18:21, Reply)

and I was watching telly at the time.
I took the 11+, when I was 11. I was one point off a pass.
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 18:24, Reply)

I confess.. It took me a while to understand the questions. I can do A levels but not 11+ it seems
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 18:27, Reply)

I'm guessing it was an interview or something and not Crimewatch?
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 18:45, Reply)

How do I go about getting on IMDB?
I was 'uncredited' but no matter!
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 18:52, Reply)

Boom! No, was the telly.
I'm off to watch day of the jackal now, though
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 18:58, Reply)

Had nearly 2 mins to go when I got to the last question but just couldn't get it =/
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 18:58, Reply)

15/15 but didn't finish in time.
Anyway, I'm still working on my answer to this week's QOTW (as usual, I've left it to the last minute), so I'll be more off than on tonight.
EDIT: In the mean time, here's my entry to the image challenge

I should spang you for that. Still, it's shaping up to be a good evening- no WOD!!

Otherwise known as housemate's girlfriend who severely pissed me off last night. Apparently she does this quite a lot (i.e. complain at people rather than talk with them as an adult) and considers it acceptable behaviour. Not on my sodding watch she won't.
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 19:53, Reply)

me of a girl called Nicky who I was seeing just over a year ago. Stunningly attractive, but utterly soul destroying to be around. Constantly moaning and critical...
Matters came to a head when she marched me into town and asked me to buy pile ointment for her because she wasn't brave enough to go into Boots on her own.
And she still owes me the £3.75 for the bum cream.
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:15, Reply)

That's gallantry, that is.
I went in for some earlier in the year and said, "Do you have pile cram? I have IBS and my bum hurts." Why lie? They'll have heard it all before.
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:20, Reply)

"It's for the girl over there with black hair" but then I guess anyone would say that.
Besides, the smile I got from the till girl as I handed my money over was enough to ease the embarrassment of suffering hemorrhoids by proxy.
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:23, Reply)

Worth it just for that then:)
It wasn't a pitying smile was it?
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:24, Reply)

Not a question of gallantry, more having the other face their own embarrassment. Men buying tampons?? Never...
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:24, Reply)

The smile was more like a leer... Either the purchase didn't bother her or she had strange habits.
@Piston
That was very much my opinion. I had the b3ta story half written before I got to the end of the queue.
Moral of the story is: Tell teh interweb
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:26, Reply)

Not one of these new men then? :D
I wouldn't mind buying tampons. They know they're not for you. Mind you, I might place them on the counter with a wink and a "Yup, blow jobs for me this week!"
*not really a new man either*
@ PJM
Strange habits? Like licking your fingers after you'd applied it?
*shudders*
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:27, Reply)

used to buy tampons for me.
When asked in hushed tones if he wanted them in a bag he would reply "no thanks, I'll eat them now".
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:32, Reply)

Don't leave!
What's your stance on blokes buying feminine products?
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:32, Reply)

It's like HLT barging in and finding everyone with trousers at half mast.
I'd have no problem buying tampons. The only issue is they aren't "one size fits all" (piss poor choice of words PJM) so I'd worry about getting it wrong. Exactly the same as how you would if you were buying an oil filter at Halfords.
"Does this one fir under my bonnet?"
Besides, one of my few positive attributes is my gentlemanliness.
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:34, Reply)

I imagine my stance would be akin to "doubled over in pain".
Why?
edit@PJM - the size of the tampon has got nothing to do with the size of the, er, place it's designed for!
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:35, Reply)

Erm...I think I'll leave this conversation until it veers back to kitteh fluffehness...circle of life and all that.
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:36, Reply)

"I'd like some tampons please"
"What size would you like"
"Er..."
"They come in compact, small, medium, large, and sheep."
Sorry ladies!
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:39, Reply)

I was speaking metaphorically - the nearest analogy I could get was oil filters.
Ahem.

why are we talking about this? why?
edit@BK - where exactly are you buying these tampons from if you have to ask for them over the counter? are they special drug-releasing ones that I don't know about? are they? tell me!
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:43, Reply)

I'm back, and I've had a lovely stew for dinner :D
My afternoon was full of swearing, AV equipment and knotted cables.
But I don't have to go to work 'til 12 tomorrow :D
Then I've gotta work 'til 2 or 3am...
But it's ok.

Now for the pleasantries. Hello folks, how are we all this fine eve?
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:44, Reply)

Wastes of DNA, soul destroying ladies, bum cream, tampons.
I single handedly brought the conversation to a juddering halt.
Sorry.
I really, really like kittens though (fact).
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 20:45, Reply)

Yunno naked, the word? Why is it naked with a d on the end? Why isn't "to nake" a verb?
(I have been playing boggle and tried to play nake as a word and it wouldn't let me. Also, b3ta is bad for boggling. I kept trying to play words like "bindun" and "lully" and wondering why they weren't allowed. Although "noes" is, hurray!)

@TGB: Hope your interview blossoms into a job-offer. Good things come to those who become HSH regulars.

I'm too busy tonight to spend much time here. That sort of thing shouldn't be allowed. Being busy in the evening I mean.
I did less today at work.
Hello Becky, TGB and all who have appeared recently.

I'm working so hard getting this comic finished for you that I pissed myself :(
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 21:56, Reply)

We could all just agree to do our tasks and wait until I've finished my QOTW entry and Kaol has finished his comic.
but that wouldn't be as fun :-(
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 21:57, Reply)

No, it wouldn't be as much fun, And the thread would die, which wouldn't be at all good.
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:01, Reply)

I've been a busy duck recently, so I haven't had much chance to sit in the warm HSH living room.
I'm currently very tired and slightly pissed off at people who leave screws lying around in the road.
Congrats on the good interview TGB - fingers crossed!
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:05, Reply)

That's right. Another £250 down the pan, even though it's a relatively new tyre - a screw pressed through the shoulder, making a repair impossible.
It could have been nasty though. Due to bravery/stupidity (take your pick), I tend to drive with the traction control switched off, as it's much more of a giggle that way. I hadn't noticed that I'd got a flat on the back until I hit the loud pedal going into a NSL area and I did an amusing 60mph fishtail. If I'd done that around a bend I could quite easily have dumped it backwards into a hedge :-/
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:10, Reply)

Things are going swimmingly with the ladyfriend. She's all the awesome :)
We spent a 4-day weekend away together and it's quite silly really because I'm already missing her like crazy.
I think this one's a keeper...
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:12, Reply)

My car's bad enough at £110 per tyre.
And I drive with the traction control on as, unlike you, it's better at keeping the car on the road than I am!
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:13, Reply)

Awesome it's going well :) When you introducing her to us lot ;)
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:15, Reply)

Trust me - it hurts. Even allowing only for normal wear, I've worked out the tyre-eating monster on the drive costs about 10p a mile in tyres alone. That may of course be down to my driving style, but you only live once hey.
Cheers BK!
EDIT: TGB - I'll have to sort something out soon...
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:17, Reply)

As my sister says - it's only expensive if you can't afford it!
( , Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:18, Reply)

True... I keep getting attacks of sensibility though where I question why I'm spending so much on a car when a far cheaper one would be fine for my commute. Thankfully they're only infrequent attacks though.
TGB - that's a fine idea. I'll see what I can do...
