WHY DON'T YOU FUCK OFF BACK TO /TALK?

(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 12:58, Reply)
I like you.
*hugs*
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 12:59, Reply)
HAHAHA!
and a 'Hee Hee' for good measure.

Did that make you feel good?
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:01, Reply)
by the looks of it
with an idle post that I made the other day suggesting that /talk is closing down it has caused some kind of panic.

This pleases me. Mainly because it has clogged up the board quite a lot, whereas similar things over here have been dismissed.

This leads me to several conclusions:
QOTWers are more apathetic than /talkers
/talks are crazed reactionaries
people believe what they read on the internet way too much

Edit
People /talkers
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:23, Reply)
I'd love to be apathetic
but, frankly, I can't be arsed.
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:24, Reply)
I've decided to love everyone on B3ta, even /talk.
Apart from Woodside Industries because he called me a bitter old hag. But I suppose he got two out of three right so I can't really complain.
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:29, Reply)
Shut it
you bitter old, former vag inspecting, hag.
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:33, Reply)
I've met some /talkers
And they were lovely.

I didn't kiss them though, God only knows where they've been.
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:36, Reply)
You should have kissed them, then
maybe you could have discerned where they had been by the taste.

'Hmm, this one tastes like Lancaster.' That kind of thing.

@Bert
Suck my cock!
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:40, Reply)
I didn't think /talkers
were allowed out into the real world.

But then I met that guy.. with the pimp hat... I forget his name but he was all snuggly and lovely and made me laugh so then I realised that /talkers are just like us but less willing to make up shit to impress other people on the internet and claim best of on teh QOTW.

Then I realised I was just wibbling and went to find some cake
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:42, Reply)
Yummy
Yes please miss!

While I'm at it, can I give you a good rimming?
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:42, Reply)
TGB
You refer, of course, to SuperMatt. Him and Kersal Missive were a joy to behold, if only for their pimp hats and skull-shoes respectively.
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:49, Reply)
@Bert
No rimming but my sink is blocked so you can plunger it if you like.
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 13:53, Reply)
/talk annoys me so!
Somebody just posted a thread - Q: "What are you doing today":

The answers:
1)Eating
2)I've Just got hom
3)Working
4)Fuck All
5)YOUR HAT IS ON FIRE

On another note I greatly enjoy the /talkers name 'Giant Rat of Sumatra'

Not too sure why
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 14:22, Reply)
You would probably like her too
she is nice.
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 14:25, Reply)
Does she have...
A giant rat?

Can she show me it?

/predictable response
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 14:52, Reply)
Maybe I should change my name
to the Aluminum Crutch? Or perhaps the Five Orange Pips?

(The giant rat of Sumatra and the aluminum crutch are references that Sherlock Holmes made to cases that were too grotesque to share with the world. The Five Orange Pips was one of the stories Doyle wrote.)
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 14:57, Reply)
I was getting ready to congratulate you on spotting the Sherlock Holmes reference
but it's aluminium, damnit!
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 15:35, Reply)
Only over there.
Here it's aluminum.

Just as it's color, honor, humor and so on.

I suppose I could affect the English spelling in my posts by throwing in extraneous letters all over the place, but I'm American, and spell words accordingly.

Besuides, it loouks funnuy tou me tou speull as youuu dou.
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 15:55, Reply)
Au contraire
It's only in America it's spelt aluminum, rather than only in the UK it's spelt aluminium.

The IUPAC call it aluminium, and if it's good enough for them...*

*Although I'm still really fucked off that they decided sulfur was preferable to sulphur. You can't win em all though!
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 15:58, Reply)
Fair enough.
Nonetheless, I was a little surprised that someone else understood the Holmes reference- I assumed I was the only one in here geeky enough to have read all of the Holmes stories!
(, Wed 18 Mar 2009, 16:20, Reply)
Nah
I'd suspect that quite a few people here have read the lot!

I've got some of them several times, I've got the collected works in one massive book plus some interesting vintage editions. Some of my favourite stories ever :D
