What are you awful creatures trickling into your ear-hole this afternoon?

The rest are a bit meh.
Although 'Only in Amerika' is pure filth.

I am going slightly mad and have taken to singing songs to myself and earlier even caught myself saying "bonnngg" softly under my breath...

Got a random-playlist this afternoon.
The Wicker Man by Iron Maiden at the moment.

it's probably my fave whole album after Powerslave
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:09, Reply)

WHAT THE FUCK!
Seriously WHAT THE FUCK!
Better than SIT? Better than NOB? Better than POM? Actually, it might be better than POM.
No it isn't, actually even AMOLAD is better. It's not a bad album, but it's nowhere near their best.
Actually I don't really like Powerslave that much as an album, it's got three really shit tracks on it. The other five do more than make up for it, but still, that's almost half a shit album.

*Air guitars to the chorus on Thats What You Get*
That's my favorite track on Rockband II.

There is only one or two types of musics that I really don't like, like Garage, R&B*, anything where someone is shouting and you can't work out the lyrics... and, anything where they do that heavy breath-in shout thing.
*Rytham and Base, not Rytham and Blues.

Anyone familiar with this band? I've only just started listening to the first album - allmusic.com rate them highly.
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:28, Reply)

Had it since 94 or whenever it came out and haven't listened in too long. I'm in just the mood now so will go and find it later on.. "Marbles" springs to mind as the song I want especially. Might give an idea of what kind of mood I'm in.
Everything by The Tindersticks is worth checking out. In general they get a bit less poppy and more classical with time.

At the moment, Bat for lashes. Also getting into Concrete Blond, so I might listen to some of that. Hrm. Other things.

Now shuffle has given me three live Pearl Jam songs in a row.
No doubt mocking me that I failed to get tickets for their O2 gig.

keep talking about smelling Welsh like it's a bad thing? :(
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 17:49, Reply)

Did I spell that right? It's the best live Pearl Jam album EVER!
Apart from MTV Unplugged
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:43, Reply)

Not heard that one but I'll have a search for a copy based on your recommendation.
Ta much.

knock Pearl Jam into a cocked hat, I wouldn't be too downhearted, young fellow--me-lad.
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:50, Reply)

Who has pearljam tickets they wanna sell. Trouble is they're for seating apparently. Ifya want em, gaz me and I could try and get em. I only say cos they where trying to get me to take em. Oh, and they're 100% not a ticket tout by the way, in case you where worried.

Guitar Hero has a lot to answer for.
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:35, Reply)

Also, everyone on here so far liked that music a long time before GH came along.
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:36, Reply)

I doubt GH has anything to do with peoples taste in music. If anything it ruins the song.
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:38, Reply)

I have been recently listening to M83's new album.
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:39, Reply)

I do think GH and it's ilk are partly responsible for an increase in the popularity of old rock music, that and people wanting to know what the band on the t-shirt they bought from top man sounds like.
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:41, Reply)

But we all find out about music from somewhere. And if they hear a few Iron Maiden tracks on Guitar Hero and then get into it and love it, I fail to see the problem. Plus, the more people who do that, the more people we can feel musicaly superior to!
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 16:43, Reply)

Of course, music snobbery is the best bit about being into music! There are even key phrases to help you! Such phrases as "Yeah. I saw them before they got too mainstream" "I prefer their earlier work", "Have you heard xxxxxxx? They where a real influence on xxxxxx, but they never realy got as much critical acclaim".
( , Tue 12 May 2009, 17:01, Reply)

I'd already got over them way before they formed. They totaly sold out before they formed.
