Has anyone ever seen a relationship that started online actually succeed and not end in big salty tears?

I'm a massive relationship cynic.
But she truly is amazing in every possible way.
Apologies if I've made everyone vomit.
PS, don't let her see this.

This was supposed to be aimed at Kaol but is surprisingly relevant below No3l.

I'm confident the chances of success are roughly the same regardless of whether the couple met on or offline.

Oh my goodness
*wheezes, grasps at chest*
Actually, to be perfectly honest, the relationships I'm thinking of (both involving the same person, two girls) ended due to external factors.
He got about a year and a half of pretty good relationship. Which isn't bad at all, I don't think. I think it can work.
But my relationship that was due to the internet? Man, I'm fucked up.
It probably can work, but not if you're me!
EDIT: Pretty much what V said. The Ex/Lovely Girl ended because he was too needy. The Ex/Me ended because I'm a nutter. Not to do with the Internet.

A friend of mine met his now-wife on the internets and they have a two year old offspring. Would you define that as success?

In answer to your question, just the once.
He was 17, she was 37 and has a son the same age. She left her hubby, son and huge mansion to live with him and my mate in a little 2 bedroom flat. This was 14 years ago and they're still together now.
He went to America a few times to meet her, and she came over here as well before she made the final move.
Yesterday I was refering more to 'international' relationships rather than 'National'. Obviously if you're in the same country it's alot easier to get to know each other before taking the plunge.

met a chesty girl from Moscow online about 18months ago.
They got married in Malta the other day, and he's off back to Russia with her as he has secured a job teaching EFL.
