the baby is being indoctrinated into a violent cult responsible for the deaths of hundreds of of thousands of people and the destruction of thousands of years of culture all over the world. Why should people get upset just because they get given a toy to have fun with when they're older?

but on the plus side, there'll be a buffet.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:14, Reply)
I especially enjoy those tiny burgers you can get from M&S, oh and spring rolls, whenever we have a buffet lunch at work we get amazing duck spring rolls! *drools*

what was your budget?
I got one for the flowergirl at my wedding and she loved it, as did all the grown ups that tried to steal it from her! :D
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:00, Reply)
turning up to your wedding. Disgusting.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:05, Reply)
less than £20 really.
I was thinking of getting either a cuddly toy or a book or something.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:07, Reply)
For my christening I got a little box full of Beatrix Potter books… I also got a complete set of Mr Men books too, the original ones though, no Mr Speedy or whatever the hell they’re called nowadays.

There is a wicked Guiness pub which is located near Oxford Circus out the back of John Lewis... its a good place to hide in after a busy shopping trip! Its very important to have good pubs located near good shopping areas! :)

Tomorrow I shall be blitzing the flat, doing some cooking/shopping and then in the evening I shall be on the town with my homiez.
I just submitted a load of work that's been taking me ages. I feel very proud of myself, and also relieved.
Start the next batch next week, but I feel more confident now.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:13, Reply)
Thank you for the well-wishing, it should be ace, I can't wait to move into a flat which is bigger... I'm soooo sick of all the bloody boxes too! Grrrr!
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:15, Reply)
Oh I loved moving to a bigger place. I got cracking right away on filling it with more junk.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:16, Reply)
I think you might be right about stuff staying in boxes... I have thrown a lot of stuff away though which is pretty good for me, I like to keep things... my precious
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:19, Reply)
my mother is the same, she called me a whore once because my nail varnish was a little chipped... high standards!
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:25, Reply)
A woman who sits in a pub with her shopping bags at her feet is a 'lush', apparently.
(She is not merely a woman who's had a hard day shopping and would like to round off the day with a drinky or two with her friends.)
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:29, Reply)
she's clearly a lush. Hahaha I think we may have the same mother too... scary stuff
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:36, Reply)
Your husband is a bit rubbish though. I texted him an hour ago to say I was nearby and would he like to get some food. He seems to think that 3pm is too late for lunch. Now I ask you, just how silly is that?
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:16, Reply)
and punch him in the balls for that.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:17, Reply)
On the upside, I have amazing meat in my fridge now and my portfolio back from work so I can add stuff to it on Sunday

*dances*
Can't wait!! Woooo!
He is a bit rubbish sometimes. He was at the bank at lunch time I think, getting our deposit monies, so maybe that's why he couldn't do lunch? You can kick him tomorrow about it! :)
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:18, Reply)
Does he not realise that his world should revolve around getting silly texts from me demanding food? Ridiculous boy!
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:20, Reply)
I sent him an email about 15 min ago moaning that I was tired and he hasn't responded to that either... its selfish behaviour like this that makes me think I should have married you instead!
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:22, Reply)
We would have amazingly good looking children though ,)
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:30, Reply)
That is a very good point about the food though... I'm dangerous enough as it is, I've eaten three Krispy Kremes today and the sugar crash has started to take hold of me... *jitters*
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:34, Reply)
Nothing wrong with eating three Krispy Kremes ;-)
Good luck with the house move. I intend to spend tomorrow in bed.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:36, Reply)
If they're made of joy then surely it's a good idea to eat more...although now I want KK's and I can't get any :(
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:42, Reply)
but they are for my happy helpers tomorrow! :D
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:43, Reply)
and I envy your helpers, lucky bastards getting free KK.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:48, Reply)
My only issue is taking them home on the tube, they're in a big box so I'm going to have to pick where I stand to make sure I keep hold of the box, I would cry if I dropped them! :S

I had a nightmare where I had to move away from uni :( It was not fun.
Tomorrow, I will probably go outside. For a change.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:19, Reply)
Ooooooh outside... but there's skunkpussys outside... be careful now!

When I last moved I just had a flatmate with a chair on wheels to help. He was useless.
And good luck and congratumalations and all that rubbish too.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:34, Reply)
Ah that's pretty cool, at least he came prepared with a chair on wheels! Last time we moved we had the parents and quite a few arguments... and a late night trip to Ikea *fears*
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:39, Reply)
It took a couple of weeks for me to get to Ikea. A couple of weeks in which I lived with pretty much no furniture, other than an inflatable chair and a bedside cabinet.

...officially in the top three stress-inducing activities OF ALL TIME.
I'm seeing my gorgeous little girl from 10-1pm but after that I am 'as John Inman' ('free' - not 'a bummer'), if you require an extra pair of hands I am big and strong and in need of exercise.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:41, Reply)
You're just after the possibility of doughnuts aren't you? Hehe
Aww have fun seeing your little lady! :)
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:45, Reply)
Genuine offer though. Cannot wait to see the little'un. The joy of seeing her is unequalled apart from by the sadness I feel at 'chucking out time'.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:49, Reply)
thank fuck! I moved everyfuckingthing by myself.
And it was a bitch.
Still, congrats on the move!
Tomorrow I'll mostly be lying about bored out of my mind.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:54, Reply)
but once we're in I will be excited! :)
Aww you had no helpers, that sucks!!
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 16:58, Reply)
I'm spending saturday buying and collecting various furniture (A sofa from a mate, then a wardrobe from a big warehouse discount place) and putting it together, then off for birthday drinkies!
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 17:01, Reply)
Good luck with the move; I'll think of you as I raise that first pint to my lips in the Fleming Arms.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 17:06, Reply)
WOO-HOOO!
My boss has just lent me 3.5k. Christmas is saved, mortgages paid and I'm going to have a hell of a lot better night than I was expecting to this evening.
And I got a call telling me my remortgage should complete next week.
You may be about to see the dawn of a new, positive, non-angry and non-bitter Monty. Only kidding.

I was *that* close to losing my home.
(, Fri 20 Nov 2009, 17:37, Reply)
