I've just been accused of being too good for OT.
So I have returned to grace all you peasants with my radiant presence.

Tell me if you've missed me, and if so why.
Or, tell me the last album you listened to.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 21:21, 48 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
I don't know you
so I can't possibly have missed you.

True.
I'm sure I'll love you if I get to know you.

Seems said skills have not improved any since my last visit.
And I'm trying. But developmental biology and hox genes in flies makes me want to kill myself.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 22:00, Reply)
You should probably
Have chosen a better subject then.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 22:17, Reply)
I did.
I'm doing microbiology, but everyone in life sciences does the same broad first year, and this module was compulsory.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 22:23, Reply)
Ah, sucks
I had to do crap I didn't want to in first year. Like a random chemistry class.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 22:25, Reply)
"everyone in life sciences does the same broad first year"
And you are that broad.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 23:19, Reply)
Ahaha, thanks.

I have missed you immeasurably AB
You're a proper filth merchant and no mistake.

As it happens, the last album I listened to was my very own solo album *ahem* but before that it was Bricks Are Heavy by L7. I think.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 21:48, Reply)
Ooo, I like that title.
Like it a lot.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 21:56, Reply)
Hahaha
Fantastic.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 21:58, Reply)
They had an awesome album way back
Something like "smell this" with a nasty-as-fuck upskirt cartoon album cover. The vinyl cover had real presence. So did the music. Fucking heavy. And by girls.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 22:00, Reply)
anytime I hear someone say
girls can't do rock properly I point them to L7. It hasn't been done often, but it is possible.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 22:01, Reply)
see also: half of Nashville Pussy
No heavier band around right now.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 22:04, Reply)
will check them out on the t'interwebs
I remember seeing a lot about them in kerrang about 10 years ago but I was still heavily into nu-metal.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 22:07, Reply)
High as Hell
from 10 years ago is still their best album. But they still rock. Got their myspace on at the moment. I need some vinyl. Saw them live last year and they were utterly mind-blowing. You'd think they'd be a bit of a comedy band from the records, but they fucking live it. In the middle of a 60-night tour they were completly switched-on, speeded-up and fucking angry in a tiny Nottingham venue. They must have spent all they earned on the crates of JD that were going backstage pre-gig.

A compilation of early punk rock.
I like to reminisce about the good old days when I was too shy to get a mohican.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 21:52, Reply)
mohicans were for cunts anyway,
you got out well.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 21:52, Reply)
I totally disagree.
I love mohicans and there is even a B3tan who has an ace mohican. He is not a cunt in the slightest.

One of my favourite tunes is Trapped by Colonel Abrahams.

Hello!
Welcome back. I almost bumped into you in the corridor just before Christmas. Bet you never noticed.

Oh, and Strategies against Architecture III by Einstürzende Neubauten.

Charlatans - Tellin' Stories
At a very loud volume, whilst braying a fuckin' big hole through my bedroom wall with a chisel and a sledgehammer.

Nothing more theraputic than smashing your house to bits.

I'm available - with big hammer and chisel - for weddings, funerals, christenings, bar mitzvahs - no job too big or small.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 23:03, Reply)
Awesome
In an ideal world we could all smash our dwellings to bits every night.
(, Thu 14 Jan 2010, 23:14, Reply)
You've no idea
How empowering it feels.

Do it. DO IT NOW. Smash your house to pieces.

Disclaimer - don't do it if it's not actually your house as your landlord might get a tad upset.
