Preparing to ride the thunder
I just ate out-of-date Mexican food for lunch. It was delicious and I'm sure it was fine and the queasiness is surely psychosomatic.

What gamble have you taken lately?

I don't gamble.
I gamble with time a bit I suppose.

Ignoring messages that say 'back up everything before doing this'
I chose not to, and there was a terrifying moment when I'd lost everything on my mobile. But I hadn't.

That there was a pretty crap story.

Indeed it was
though, unless you have the world's worst luck, or are just a complete moron, the chances of losing something that you didnt back-up when prompted aren't worth the time.

You never know
I am reluctant to trust most software developers not to be complete tools when it comes to designing updating methods.

why would losing everything on your mobile be terrifying?

(, Mon 25 Jan 2010, 14:58, Reply)
To be honest, it wouldn't
But I didn't really read the original post properly. It would mostly just be a huge annoyance having never bothered to back-up numbers.

A chance to start fresh!

True
I could get rid of that Graeme that's in my phonebook, but don't know who it is.

I bet you don't believe me

My brother routinely eats way out of date food as a kind of extreme sport.
He find the faecal Russian roulette exhiliarating. He really does - I get excited texts along the lines of 'Whoah, I think I've really done it this time - 5-day old caulifower cheese: can't WAIT' etc
(, Mon 25 Jan 2010, 15:25, Reply)
your brother sounds like a loon

All his life he has wanted to be an eccentric old man
His dream is slowly becoming a reality.

Cuntoid on the floor above
insisted on playing his daft music (Lemar, Limp Bizkit etc) at about eight this morning. So in retaliation I am gambling with my sanity by blasting out Snow Patrol - Spitting Games over and over at full blast. Give it a listen, it's quite literally the most annoying song of all time. I can just about block it out with my mp3 player and headphones.
