Song of the day, for me, for no identifiable reason is
'Pushin' Too Hard' by The Seeds, fronted by the fantastically-monickered Sky Saxon.

What's got YOU grooving today? Please note any mention of David Jones and I'll fucking knack you, alright?

The film of his San Quentin Prison gig
is truly incredible. I fucking love it.
(, Fri 5 Mar 2010, 10:02, Reply)
I think I've seen a bit of that.
Not as good as the Spiders from Mars gig though : )

I was listening to all the series the other day and a few tunes stuck in my head.

'you and Stu, in the nude, getting rude, with the food'
or close enough. Fucking brilliant.
(, Fri 5 Mar 2010, 10:33, Reply)
That's exactly the part that's going round my head.
Have you done Flight of the Conchords? If not, I highly recommend downloading the entire radio series and two TV series. It's inspired genius.
(, Fri 5 Mar 2010, 10:41, Reply)
I watched the 1st series as it was broadcast
and loved it more than anything I'd seen in years, but missed the second one and was told it wasn't so good by someone on here.
(, Fri 5 Mar 2010, 10:47, Reply)
Ah, I'd give it a go.
The radio series are brilliant and great for long journeys. People look at me funny when I sit there laughing my tits off.

I've had Don't Stop Believin' stuck in my head for about a week
The ruined version, too. The last song I listened to before getting to work was the thankfully-catchy lyrical genius of Milk Your Goat by Example.
(, Fri 5 Mar 2010, 10:23, Reply)
Haha, you like the same music as a guy who calls himself "hawkmoon03111951" on the internet.
I have no idea what inspired that 59 year old to make that video.

They, will, not, ig, noooooooore us,
They, will, not, be meeaaaaaan to us

(or whatever the lyrics are)
(, Fri 5 Mar 2010, 10:28, Reply)
hahahahahaahhaah!
Muse are awful - they have been paying homage to the latter half of Radioheads' 'The Bends' for what? Ten years now?

Everything But the Girl
Missing. A rather chilled dance version. Dunno where that came from but I quite enjoyed the change from the Arkhams.
(, Fri 5 Mar 2010, 10:29, Reply)
I'm ever so pleased that "Jason Derulo" has moved up the charts on Spotify over the last week, what a fantastic reffreshing under use of completely generic lyrics and auto tunes.

I GOT YOU ALL IN CHECK.

Man, I am so street.
(, Fri 5 Mar 2010, 10:34, Reply)
That's a brilliant record.
I saw him live at Carnival one year and it was one of the most hyper, apeshit live shows I've ever seen. Incredible. A foreign tourist was crushed to death, adding to the enjoyment of the experience.

Afterwards my mate Mat was so drunk he sat down in a rubbish heap of chicken bones, corn cobs and Red Stripe cans and went to sleep. Then there was a fire.

Magic days.

I fucking love Queen Adreena I do, I want to know how Crispin whatsisname gets his guitar to sound so buzz saw like. I also wonder how he puts up with Katy-Jane Garside as she seems to be a total mental head.
