Walk-in music
If you were a fighter, what would be the tune you would have on the PA as the fans cheer you to the ring?
I'd probably have a throat-lumping Irish ballad where loads of people die and women cry and rend hair and such while children starve. My opponent would think I was so badass, I had survived the famine and shit himself.

I'd go in the other direction
and flounce to the ring in a pink sequined Prada gown to the strains of "In The Navy" by the Village People. Clamber into the ring and blow my opponent a kiss. He'll either run or refuse to come out of his corner all night

Good use of the psychological advantage there, dude!
The fight game is overtly homophobic. I don't know if you've ever seen Joe Rogans stand-up but he is relentless.

I wanted him to have this though.

that is a stonking tune
partly because the moaning at the beginning sounds like zombies
"if you want to spank your demons and make them pay, then baby I'm your man of the hour"
I fucking love Monster Magnet

as do I
but monster magnet, particularly the old stuff, has more of the psychadelic quality, which scores extra points.

Wyndorf is a legend
Can we categorise Monster Magnet as Kings of Fucked-Off-Your-Tits Rock? You get the impression that Kyuss were less experimental in their drugs choices than the Magnet

The whole tune is composed of kung fu film samples
from the beat up. It's genius - actually most of the Depth Charge stuff is excellent. Quirky, weird dance music that pre-empted so-called trip hop and was much, much better.
