That thread has too many pictures
I'm going to go and see Kick Ass tomorrow, then do some shopping as I'm cooking for some mates.
But what should I cook them that doesn't involve me being stuck in the kitchen too much, but shows off my incredible cooking skills?

ALT Q: Macdonalds, Burger King, KFC or Wimpey?
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:39, 100 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
Something like a delicious casserole
where you can do lots of prep and then bang it in the oven for ages, leaving mingling time.

Or a nommelicious stir fry. I know stir fry is piss easy but sometimes the simplest is the best.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:43, Reply)
Kick Ass is fucking incredible. Enjoy it.
Try not to get too turned on by Hit Girl you big nonce.

None. I'd rather go hungry.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:45, Reply)
I was going to say the same
watched it last night. fucking brilliant. especially when hit girl calls people cunts.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:47, Reply)
I want to be Hit Girl.
That film would be no where near as good if it wasn't for her.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:50, Reply)
she does a good job
I totally didn't know Nick Cage was in it until he appeared
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:51, Reply)
Thats brought the total number of films in which I can stand Nic Cage up to two.

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:54, Reply)
the other being....
so, turns out, the guy playing Kick Ass is English and was born in the same place as me.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:55, Reply)
Con Air.
Did you know the guy who plays Kick Ass is 19, but is engaged to a 42 year old.
*bokes*

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:58, Reply)
I've known for ages.
If I'd bothered going to be an extra in that film he wouldn't have knocked her up.
Auld cow.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:59, Reply)
he would've knocked you up instead
and then you'd be engaged to a 19 year old

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:55, Reply)
Oh who could forget Face Off
I loved that film.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:56, Reply)
Con Air.
And thats only because its epic and has three of my favourite actors in it.

I didn't like Face/Off, I got annoyed by that face strokey thing that John Travolta kept doing.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:58, Reply)
How can you not like The Rock?

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 17:00, Reply)

Who else is in it?
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 17:09, Reply)
Sean Connery
Ed Harris
John C McGinley

in fact, that is proof that it is great, because the only thing that Ed Harris has done that wasn't awesome was some Vauxhall ads
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 17:10, Reply)
And it is standard Michael Bay shite
of the highest order. Now there's someone I'd kick in the nads if I ever got the chance.

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 17:21, Reply)
He jizzes massive explosions
That's why he is banned from the Hollywood Bukakae club
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 17:26, Reply)
Its Michael Bay,
He probably jizzes a stream of firey robots that explodee as they hit the ground, but you can't see it anyway because of all the cuts to different angles.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 17:26, Reply)
Sean Connery?

Ask them how they like it cooked and do it accordingly. If they're vegetarian, give them some tofu.

As for the second one, well, I don't do it very often, but if I had to:

McD's, BK, KFC and then Wimpy, in that order of preference.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:46, Reply)
Burger King, every time
I've already said it once this week, but you can't go wrong with Lasagne.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:46, Reply)
cook this

but replace the cherry tomatoes with roasted butternut squash, and serve with peppered fried queen scallops on top.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:48, Reply)
I don't like oven cooked rissoto.
Just do it on the pan it only takes 20 minutes.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:49, Reply)
you don't have to stand over it though
and that oven-cooked risotto works really well. as good as cooked on the hob in my opinion.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:50, Reply)
I was contemplating risotto, when it's good it's soo good
mostly ballsed up I find though.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:51, Reply)
that oven-cooked one is so easy
it's hard to balls up. and it is delicious.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:53, Reply)

I may try it, as it gives me tyhe freedom to drink moar wine
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 16:54, Reply)
that recipe is a good basis for other oven-cooked risottos
like chorizo and red wine...

*salivates*
