I like it when they land at Dover, "We will be in Nottingham by nightfall"
Horses that do warp speed obviously
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:42, 2 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
At a gallop horses can travel 30mph
It's about 160miles from Dover to Nottingham, they got to dover at dawn, if it was summer it was possible they could get there by nightfall.

Only Good Thing
The only good thing about the Kevin Costner nonsensefest was Alan Rickman. 100% FACT.

You can stick your galloping horses up your arse sunshine
by which I mean good point, well made
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:53, Reply)
wouldn't that kill the horses?

(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:58, Reply)
It's 5 and a half hours straight galloping,
you've got plenty of time to change horses and shit before sunset.
Learn some maths
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:59, Reply)
how would you change horses?
surely any horses brought with you would still be travelling at the same speed and therefore be almost as knackered.
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:01, Reply)
It's like Hertz rent-a-car.
Pick up and drop off at any point in the UK and some patsy will come and get your vehicle. You just need to ensure that they have the same level of straw in them when you finish as when you collected them, otherwise you end up paying an over-inflated fuel surcharge.
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:05, Reply)
You'd change them at towns/pubs/coach houses and shit
trade in your tired horses for a new one. They used to do that.
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:07, Reply)
My answer is better.

(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:10, Reply)
You forgot that they will charge you for scratches that were already present on the horse
Also these horses are the best for handbrake turns

And Hadrian's Wall
Is, of course, in very close proximity to Sherwood Forest.

Or am I thinking of a different film?
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:52, Reply)
You're thinking of the the 1997 film "Robin Hood V's The Romans"
which was gay porn
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:55, Reply)
that reminds me
I still haven't seen Mega Shark v Giant Octopus.
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:59, Reply)
It is tempting
if only for the title
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 14:10, Reply)
There's a scene with a wall in it,
they never say it's hadrians though.
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:55, Reply)
I've only seen it once.
Bloody Americans, coming over here, stealing our folklore and getting upstaged by Alan Rickman.
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:58, Reply)
and brian blessed.

(, Wed 5 May 2010, 12:59, Reply)
...and the horses.

(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:01, Reply)
Was he in it as well?
I don't remember. But it must be about 15 years since I saw it.
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:01, Reply)

(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:30, Reply)

HE WAS LORD LOXLEY ROBIN'S FATHER!
(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:33, Reply)
I've had so many posts corrected by Monty, I just spent 3 mins rereading this looking for the correction

(, Wed 5 May 2010, 13:39, Reply)
