Today I bought some flashing birthday badges for Beekers and me to wear at the bash.
Just so everyone knows we're special.

*excites*

What's special about you?
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 12:45, 54 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
Whoops, sorry :(
Not much is special about me. I can live in squalor, but that's about it :(
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 12:46, Reply)
I'm not going to your bash,
I'm going to be at glastonbury, I'm sure you'll cope.
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 12:49, Reply)
I may take a moment out during the bash to weep softly at your absence.

Would they be the elusive tears of relief and mirth?

Non-developer
i'm missing 10 adult teeth, luckily that includes all my wisdom teeth. On my last ever visit to my orthodontist, he took a cast of my teeth for nationwide teaching purposes.
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 12:57, Reply)
Wow that is special.
I have all my wisdom teeth but they don't trouble me as I have a large mouth and plenty of room for them to come through.
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 12:59, Reply)
my real name is unique
and i have a scaffold piercing with a big spike on the end :D
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:01, Reply)
Unique is a strange name.
Piercings are always ace.
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:02, Reply)
d'oh
it's only my surname that's odd really. there's only about 150 odd people in the world with it, and none of the others have my first name. win!

piercings rule. i used to have more, but just down to the scaffold and nose ring these days. thankfully, i work in a very relaxed office!

I used to go out with a lass with an unusual surname
Did an electoral roll search out of interest. There were 3 hits, her parents, and her sister (we were under 18 at the time and hence not on it). And it's an English name so not that likely to be many more.

Was somewhat glad to see that when her sister got married she double-barreled it to keep it alive
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:10, Reply)
I have no feelings, only FACTS.

(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:01, Reply)
So if I call you nasty names at the bash, you won't get upset but reel off something interesting from the Guiness book of world records?

(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:03, Reply)
he will destroy you

This can only end well.

I'm 31 stories high, have a beak and eat civilisations.

(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:10, Reply)
Why do you need a beak to eat civilisations?
Beaks are there to help get at small grubs and fish.
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:13, Reply)
Really?

the largest pterosaur, not a dinosaur, the mother fucker flew as well.
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:40, Reply)
Glide as in "not fall vertically" perhaps
but fly, I doubt it.
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:45, Reply)
I expect you've read books on this sort of thing of course.

(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:46, Reply)
A few yes.
But I have instant opinions about everything, only some based on external refrences.

In this case, the wings look very flimsy and small for a large animal. The chest muscles are not well developed, making flapping difficult.

If there is better evidence, I'd like a read.
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:51, Reply)
Yet you weren't aware of the largest pterosaur? Strange.
I recommend "The Pterosaurs from Deep Time" by David Unwin.
(, Thu 10 Jun 2010, 13:55, Reply)
Cheers,
When I'm next raiding Amazon, that will be on my list.

Wiki rekons it was a soarer rather than a sustained flapper.

I have an electronic suit jacket ...
... in that it plays Conway's Game of Life on a grid of little orange lights on the back of it. (I had a lot of time on my hands.)

I'm wondering if anyone who reads this will instantly identify me by this fact.
