OMG!
The weekly Netto mag\advert thingy has just come through the door!
I always look forward to this and reading of the incredible money saving offers therein.

What weekly non-event has you moistening with excitement?
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 19:20, 71 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
The freebie rag
with all the catalogue / brochures of idiotically priced bargain offers. I always think 'Wow, 2 kilos of coffee for only thruppence ha'penny and 100 bog rolls for a fiver', find they've run out by the time I get there and come away with a box of wine costing £12.99.

We are living the dream,
*Sigh*.
Waiting for the bus is a social event now I've retired.

I totally got a coupon booklet from the pet place so I get pretty good discounts like $5 off nail clipping for my dog, which is $10 usually
and $10 off a full groom which is around $30
this has me excited
also, I think I may be able to access my book from my old hard drive and if I can I'm going to squeal with ridiculous happiness
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 19:35, Reply)
I just got back from a 3 day course with only my phone to access t'internet
I'd barely got firefox open for some proper big screen big keyboard browsing and posting when it powered down. Switched it back on and BANG went the power supply. :(

I'll get it replaced tomorrow but I have no idea how I'm going to fill my evening...

edit: I'm moist with sweat from mucking about under the desk - I unscrewed the power supply but looked at all the wires and decided to leave it to the professionals. Also discovered the Underdesk really needs a vacuum.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 19:50, Reply)
oh that sounds awful, you poor thing
Is there anything I can do?
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:39, Reply)
No, that's okay, I have a good book and some bitterness to tide me over
but thanks for asking
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:40, Reply)
this makes me do a sadface

I bought some e-books a couple weeks ago.
They were fab, don't get me wrong, but apparently I wasn't looking when I went buy happy because one of them isn't being released until 2012. 2012. Fuck sake, I'm never going to remember I bought that.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:08, Reply)
Fucking hell
Is it even written?

What's the new one called?
It's not Transition is it?
I like to spend a bit of time in Oxfam Books in Headingley. Some bargains to be had in there.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:12, Reply)
yes, was good, too
although it's not that new, now, and I think there's a sci fi one due later this year
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:14, Reply)

Starting to work my way through them. I loved The Crow Road.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:23, Reply)
it's just a book he did on whisky
but he waffles about other stuff he's done, too. I want to go to the Hugo Losers Party one day (for people nominated for, but who don't win, the Hugo)
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:25, Reply)
Thanks for that.
Prince of mists plus 3 China Mieville for £18.49. Very nice.

My weekly transforation into a reptile
Because reptiles have colder blood than mammals, this is causing the humidity to condense on my skin, hence I'm moistening.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:14, Reply)
They were selling reptiles in
Pets At Home today. This seems like asking for trouble to me
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:15, Reply)
Greetings incident-related incident
It's OK. I always make sure I'm nowhere near a pet-shop when I'm exploring my latent reptilian side.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:20, Reply)
evening!
are you in the government, then?

/littlebitopolitics
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:26, Reply)
that was my facebook status last week :)

(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:28, Reply)
Was that exploring your reptilian side or being in government?

(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:39, Reply)
it was a remark
about me being cold blooded, and saying people should let David Icke know immediately
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:42, Reply)
Nah.
My human side usually takes over before I can do any real damage.

I went to IKEA
and I'm getting my hair done professionally.

If you've seen my hair recently, you'll see why I need the latter.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:46, Reply)
my hair is ruined
sea water, sun and mistreatment. On the other hand it is two shades lighter
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:48, Reply)
Nice nice nice on the lighter!
Mine is quite hilarious. The lovely brown didn't last long, and it's quite odd at the moment.

This is it as soon as it was done:
www.flickr.com/photos/lelaiklampito/4753022828/

And I'm going dark again.
Any ideas on styles I should do?
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:50, Reply)
I reckon you should go longer
so a style that will grow out easily (layers,) plus definitely go for the fringe, it would look really pretty on you.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:52, Reply)
Yeah, I want my curls back.
It used to be really curly :(

that's a party ring in my mouth, dirtyminds
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:55, Reply)
those curls are awesome
can you do a fringe with really curly hair or would it require too much straightening on a daily basis? Because it would definitely suit you
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:57, Reply)
I don't straighten my hair
I'll try and find a picture of me from my curly days with a fringe. I know they exist.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 21:01, Reply)
Ah, here we are

(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 21:03, Reply)
that is toothrottingly sweet
you look so young! But BGB is right, the curly look with a fringe would be nice, especially dark
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 21:07, Reply)
That's... only 2 years ago
Look how different I am here.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 21:09, Reply)
How old are you there?
you do look quite different.

I look basically as I did at sixteen, just more embittered and hardened :D
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 21:11, Reply)
that is less than 2 years ago.
Though I guess the glasses make a difference.

And the fact I'm skinnier.

Believe it or not I had the most massive crush on the boy beside me in the picture
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 21:19, Reply)
Really?
REALLY?!

This is me and the boy I fancied in my paedodays.

(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 21:21, Reply)
just a bit
and the guy in the picture was lovely. Half Chinese, and pretty much still gorgeous now. I think he rather liked me as well
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 21:22, Reply)
Maybe it's jsut the face he's pulling...
I agreee with half-chinese being hot. But of course I'm biased.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 21:24, Reply)

I hate sitting still for any long length of time.
But I adore IKEA.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:51, Reply)
it's like some kind of future dystopian
view of a homogenised society. Also the pop I had in the cafe was nasty
(, Wed 14 Jul 2010, 20:52, Reply)
They sell Daim bars there.
ergo awesome.
