Stannah Stairlift To Heaven

When I die I'm having the Benny Hill theme tune.
And I'm going to be put in a constant position of heart attack by a taxidermist and kept in the garden shed.
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:35, Reply)
You'd need them to
put wheels on you and then mandate in your will that they push you round the garden once a week
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:41, Reply)
with a solar power activated erection.

(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:42, Reply)
I quite fancy
Alive by Pearl Jam as I go through the curtains
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:32, Reply)
Got to be Blue Oyster Cult - Don't fear the reaper
added bonus points for yelling out "NEEDS MORE COWBELL" and using the deceased's hand to hit said cowbell.
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:33, Reply)
Sorry to hear that
but how about "Burn baby burn" at the crem?

Edit - "Ding dong the witch is dead"?
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:35, Reply)
Ha I told my mum I was going to play that at her funeral

(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:37, Reply)
Was she bound and gagged at the time?

(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:38, Reply)
Also what did she die of?
Being too sexy?
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:35, Reply)
Then you should play
I just died in your arms tonight
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:36, Reply)
I bet his nan was well sexy.
I'd like to give her a love bite on her neck, it would be there for fucking months, you know how easy old people bruise.
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:37, Reply)
They dont know what
she died of, must have been some sort of MYSTERY DISEASE!
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:38, Reply)
probably being too sexy I bet.

(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:42, Reply)
If you don't use this song then you're worse than Hitler multiplirf by AIDS.

(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:36, Reply)
Or how about
AIDS by Ween?
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:45, Reply)
Yes indeedy, that would be good.
But I'm sticking with my original decision.
I'm not a flip-flopper.
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:50, Reply)
Your Funny Uncle by Pet Shop Boys
Seriously. It's about a friend of Neil Tennant who died and the experience he had going to his funeral. Beautiful song.
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:38, Reply)
and I'd just like to take this opportunity
to mention again the totally excellent song I Set Your Baby On Fire (or something like that) by A*** C***
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:38, Reply)
Yaaay!
I Lit Your Baby On Fire
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:00, Reply)
I'm sorry for your loss.
Appropriate: Anything that she liked .

Inappropriate (but ace): Fire - The Crazy World of Athur Brown
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:38, Reply)
Well she is being
crem'd
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:39, Reply)
You're turning her into creme brulee?

(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:41, Reply)
It was what she
would have wanted. She loved those little kitchen blowtorch thingys
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:45, Reply)
Would she like Nelly...

I'm starting to feel a bit uncomfortable about treating Psymon's nan's passing with such levity.
So I'm going down the "what I'd have at my funeral" route.

For the bit when everyone's sad and says what a decent sort you were - Song To The Siren by This Mortal Coil.

Then afterwards in the pub when after a few drinks people start to say that you could be a bit of a twat, and how they'll never get that £20 back now - Funeral Stomp by Robert Lloyd & The New Four Seasons.
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 14:57, Reply)
Well, he did anounce it on the internet
that's like putting Joey Deacon on Blue Peter and not expecting kids to belm at each other for the next 25 years
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:00, Reply)
Sentiment noted
but if you cant rely on b3ta for some twisted humour to cheer oneself up then what can you rely on?
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:14, Reply)
Am no good at being appropriate
So will nominate "Dead Skin Mask" by Slayer, in the hope that someone here will know it and go "eeeewwwwwwwwwww..."
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:00, Reply)
I'd rather have "South of Heaven" at mine
Or "Hell Awaits"
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:01, Reply)
Yeah but you're going to hell anyway, just for liking Slayer
Dead Skin Mask opens up a whole new world of disgusting possibilities
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:03, Reply)
I'd say my liking of Cannibal Corpse, Deicide and Behemoth puts me in a slightly worse light than Slayer
Plus, Tom Araya is Christian anyway
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:06, Reply)
I have a deliberately contradictory theory
that anyone who can tell the difference between three or four Cannibal Corpse songs should be allowed entry to heaven on grounds of merit

That said, I used to delight in telling people, at the height of the Britpop craze, that Carcass were Liverpool's best-ever four-piece
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:09, Reply)
They clearly are the best
I can tell the difference between about 7 by ear, I reckon
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:13, Reply)
Then you'll get into heaven,
and your funeral song should be YMCA just to mock god before he accepts you into his fictional embrace
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:21, Reply)
I think the Almighty should have a sense of humour, the fucker

(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:24, Reply)
When I'm being carried into the church, I'd like to have them play the wedding march, just to confuse people
Alt Q: Anything sad.
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:01, Reply)
I like this
but i'm thinking of using Faure's Requiem instead.
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:16, Reply)
Maybe 'Ode To Joy' as well?

(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:24, Reply)
I think you can not go wrong with...
Khia's - My Neck, My Back (lick it)

And my crack
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 15:03, Reply)
Highway to Hell
See You Later Alligator
Killed by Death
(, Tue 20 Jul 2010, 17:09, Reply)
