Oh, here and thereBroke up with Ms Crow a couple of weeks ago and had a subsequent sulky week or two I thought were best kept off the board, and this week I've been frantically looking for somewhere to live. Think I might have found somewhere though - going to phone them back in ten minutes or so and hope (a) the room's still available and (b) they liked me.

Basically.The final straw was when she came home to find me curled up on the sofa, cuddling a cushion and weeping into my glass of chilled rosé as I watched the series finale of Glee.

Yeah, I'm fine thanks.And to be honest the intensive house-hunt has been quite enjoyable, even if did end up walking a circuit of some six or seven miles round Streatham last night to view four properties.

Two strong contenders out of those four, neverthelessI'm going for the large maisonette near Streatham Hill, sharing with three women. Seemed like a suitably lively house and the rent was wonderfully cheap (for London).
If that's gone, it's a toss-up between sharing with the quiet city-type in the same area or going all the way over to Surrey Quays to a lovely house which is down the road from a friend, but where I haven't met the other housemates and which is pushing my budget somewhat.
And if they're gone, I guess it's living with the young Polish couple and sprog in Elephant and Castle.

Hmm...good questionIt was the first time I'd really explored it myself, but I think it's basically between Brixton and Tooting, with Clapham/Balham just off to the Northwest.

Well, I'm almost in Tooting at the moment - admittedly the other side of itI had a look to see what was available and there wasn't a lot that came up in Wimbledon. I decided to get something sorted this week as I'm going away next week so I thought I'd take a look round, and if I liked the area, I'd consider it. Could be an interesting change of scenery.
