Yes
Apart from Orange Skittles. Those cunts taste of wrong toffee.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:33, 1 reply, 16 years ago)
not had regular skittles since the sours came out
they are the only sour sweet I like. Also all Wine Gums are naff.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:34, Reply)
you can get wine pastilles
they are quite nice
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:35, Reply)
I didn't know they existed. I remember liking American hard gums.

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:36, Reply)
I didn't until a few months ago
I'm not generally a sweet eater. Prefer savoury stuff.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:37, Reply)
Sour Skittles rule
I love all sour sweets though.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:35, Reply)
I don't if they make my eyes water. I am more savoury than sweet anyway.
Would rather have a scotch egg to be honest.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:37, Reply)
I am also more savoury than sweet
But I'm having to come round to desserts again recently, and therefore my sweet tooth has been awakened.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:38, Reply)
now desserts are a whole different kettle of fish!
ice cream is better than sweets.
cake and gatueax are better than sweets.
Fruit is better than sweets.

SCOTCH EGG BEATS ALL
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:44, Reply)
Pork pie beats scotch egg anyday

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:45, Reply)
I don't really like the pastry or jelly.

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:47, Reply)
Pork pie jelly
is worse than green sweets.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:48, Reply)
LIES.

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:50, Reply)
small pork pies are best

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:47, Reply)
Small Scotch Eggs are also pretty good
and small sausages.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:48, Reply)
Black Pudding Scotch Egg beats all.
My mother also used to make 'cheese eggs' - Scotch eggs covered in a ball of congealed deep-fried cheese. They were stupendous.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:50, Reply)
They sell them in our local farm shop
My old man is partial I think. Black pudding is nice but I don't like a lot of it. I do like White pudding a lot though.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:51, Reply)
RACIST

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:52, Reply)
only for comedic purposes

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:59, Reply)
It's the best way to be racist
(Have to be careful choosing your audience though...)
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:04, Reply)
Black Pudding Scotch Eggs?
Why have I never been informed of the existence of this delicacy? This sounds like a work of genius!
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 14:53, Reply)

seconded
*drools*
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:01, Reply)
Strangely, boiled blood wrapped around an egg* is not making me as moist as it appears to be making you
I'll pass.

*or however it's cooked.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:04, Reply)
it's not just blood
and it's fucking tasty
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:06, Reply)
Someone's going to have to get me pissed, then cook me meat
this is my method for trying new meats. I was slaughtered when Omnizor fed me venison.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:09, Reply)
I could do that
I have a good track record of getting people to like things.

My mrs didn't like fish or shellfish, and I have got her to the point where she loves prawns and scallops, and stuff like tuna steak and will even eat squid tentacles.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:11, Reply)
I'm not up to fish yet
I've had bacon, beef (in burgers), chicken, veal, venison, pork and sausages. Most get a thumbs up, but I've only cooked bacon myself.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:13, Reply)
you've tried all the important ones
aside from lamb. I'd steer clear of roast lamb for the time being, and maybe go for something like a lamb kofta, as lamb can be really fatty and off-putting.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:16, Reply)
Sound advice.

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:17, Reply)
Next I'll try the dry meat.
I might drag Skinny Indie Girl, she lives 10 mins walk away and could do with fattening up.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:19, Reply)
You really should.

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:20, Reply)
If I do, I'll ask for menu recommendations from you :

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:21, Reply)
You should try my 'spam javelin'
It's had rave reviews over the years.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:22, Reply)
I hear Michael Winner was a big fan.

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:23, Reply)
This is true
Even though I broke into his house and served it to him at 3am when he was (initially) asleep.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:25, Reply)
>_<

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:25, Reply)
Or go back to France
I don't know what they do differently, but the roast lamb over there always seems to be vastly superior to the soggy, fatty mass of meat they'll serve you in Blighty.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:18, Reply)
That's because
they marinate everything in 'cowardice' - it really softens up the meat.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:24, Reply)
Hahahaha!
Perfect answer!
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:26, Reply)
Oh I forgot
Al/Monty fed me lamb at Tayyabs. Approved.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:18, Reply)
If you consider that black pudding is basically a mass of blood and fat, sheathed in a fleshy epidermis, then it's not that different from
an erection
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:07, Reply)
Thank you for pushing me even further towards the land of Fish Tacos.
Though E___ and I ended up watching the Sex Education Show last night, and I'm consequently terrified of va-jay-jays.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:11, Reply)
Even when they've been vajazzled?

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:13, Reply)
It looks like a lump of greasy kebab meat sprinkled with hair
The ones on the show did, at least. I think I had my eyes closed most of the time the time I came face to face with one.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:14, Reply)
This sounds like a show I should be watching.

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:17, Reply)
The Sex Education Show?
Should be able to 4OD it.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:17, Reply)
Is it just minges, minges, minges?

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:22, Reply)
This episode was minge, spot the clit, when one tit is bigger, how to spot a lesbian
and People Who Can't Walk Have Sex.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:23, Reply)
It's good to see Channel 4 taking a typically mature approach to these sensitive subjects

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:25, Reply)
They did a bit on coming out though
you might have found it useful.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:26, Reply)
"Coming out" as in "admitting one's rampant bumderism to friends and family"
Or "Coming out" as in "removing oneself, post-coitus, without spraying shit everywhere"?
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:28, Reply)
The first, I'd imagine you'd got a handle on the second
or at least invested in a groundsheet
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:28, Reply)
Oh, I have
It looks like the fucking Somme
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:51, Reply)
I'm only replying to this because it's so very, very far over the page.
I don't even have an opinion.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 16:56, Reply)
I suspect that last bit has ruined it for me.
Ah well.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:26, Reply)
It's a series
and apparently each episode they had "people you don't want to think about having sex having sex". Fat people, and old people - one woman interviewed cackled "I'm 68, but I prefer to 69!"

I wept.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:28, Reply)
Lovely.

Fnar fnar

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:17, Reply)
Isn't fnar fnar usually where there's innuendo?
I was deathly serious throughout that.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:18, Reply)
Ok, it's a tenuous fnar fnar, but you did say
"Face to face with them"
Which implied there was one in the room with you.
(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:20, Reply)
There's always a vagina in the same room as me, you dolt

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:22, Reply)
Yes, but I'd be rather alarmed if you could come face to face with your own.

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:23, Reply)
To be honest, so would I

(, Tue 24 Aug 2010, 15:24, Reply)
excellent use of the term 'dolt'
