Well, I have to clear my desk today, because I'm moving offices next week
Same department, new job, with a bit of my old job thrown in.
More responsibility, but less challenging if you ask me.
MUCH less B3ta-ing, I suspect.

A change is as good as a lottery win, so they say.
What's changing for you?

Alt q: who the FUCK are you looking at?
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:13, 61 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
NEW PHONE!!!!
Also I'm putting a deposit down on a flat at some point today.
And I may have to sue someone for the first time in my life.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:14, Reply)
exciting business
what's the suing about?
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:14, Reply)
Old letting agent didn't protect my deposit
I still haven't got it.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:16, Reply)
that's illegals and stuff
get suing!
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:17, Reply)
Yeah and 3x the deposit as the sort of standard compensation.
Well I think it's maximum but the stuff I've read say that I should just apply for the maximum.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:19, Reply)
I'm pretty sure you're automatically entitled to three times the amount if they don't return it without reason
however, did you say the reason you were kicked out is because the guy is insolvent?
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:24, Reply)
Well yes, the house got repossessed,
but the house was worth more than the mortgage so he'll get a cash sum.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:25, Reply)
And that was the landlord not the letting agent.

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:25, Reply)
ah right.
The letting agent is also breaching its protocols there so if it's a member of the Estate Agency Association or whatever, you could write a formal complaint about them whatever ombudsman type person they have, get them a black mark and/or struck off.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:30, Reply)
NAEA mate and ARLA (Assoc of Residential Letting Agents)
If the agent was a member of either of these two fine orgs. He was supposed to keep the deposit, not Landlord twunt.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 10:04, Reply)
throw the book at them

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:17, Reply)
Good luck with all of the above

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:16, Reply)
Sweet, congrats on the flat

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:16, Reply)
It's likely I have to move, as I can't afford to keep my own house
Alt Q: You, ya ming/mong/meff gone wrong
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:15, Reply)
nothing changing at the moment
could do with finding a more stimulating job really, but one that pays the same. Ain't gonna happen.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:15, Reply)
This job requires little intellect, but will be a lot more stimulating than the last one
That was just spreadsheets spreadsheets spreadsheets.
I hated it. This will be an assistant manager type thing and I will also be doing lots of interesting things like schools liaisons.
I don't want to be here, morale is low, one woman is pissed off I got the job over her, but I'm still liking the sound of it better than what I've been doing the last 18 months.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:19, Reply)
that's cool
I was chatting with the mrs last night about stuff, and figured my motivation is really low at the moment because none of the work I'm doing is really being used for anything. It's all studies that get done and stuck on a shelf, pretty much.

Would rather be doing something that actually led to something.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:23, Reply)
a stoner with low motivation?
never!
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:25, Reply)
I'm perfectly motivated to do things when I'm not at work*
it's motivation to do most of the work tasks I have that is the trouble.

*not just fun things either. DIY and stuff, which is a pain in the arse
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:27, Reply)
I make myself do all my jobs first and prepare everything
so when it's finally dooby time I can just collapse into a messy stoned ball of vagueness
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:33, Reply)
unless it's the weekend or band practice
I'll just have a spliff at about 10pm to unwind while I read before going to bed, otherwise I find it very hard to sleep.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:35, Reply)
my routine for the past 2 months has been
finish work at 4.30, go to gym for 45 minutes, come home, shower, get stoned. It works for me.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:37, Reply)
generally
I'll get home from work at half 5 to 6, cook dinner, do DIY, watch stuff or play games, have a spliff, read, go to bed at midnight.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:39, Reply)

I am kind of dreading moving into my new place for uni in October as it may be the catalyst that turns me into a pot head hermit. My personal trainer has just completed a hypnotherapy course and is going to practice on me.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:41, Reply)
What I did led to something, but not something I've seen great results from yet
I need instant gratification and I need to feel like I'm brill at something or I run away.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:26, Reply)
me too
that's why I hate my job, it's just pushing pieces of paper from one end of the office to the other. That's why I like sewing and baking, at the end you've got a physical thing that's beautiful and you can say "I made that".
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:31, Reply)

I do the same in about two minutes tops. then I smoke it.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:53, Reply)
hahaha
yes
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:58, Reply)
Alt Q:
Looking at you and wondering how anyone could pile shite that high.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:16, Reply)
I'm only 5'4"

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:20, Reply)
Nothing
Bloody nothing. BORED.

I have less responsibility at work and it is indeed less challenging, but I hate my job either way so I don't care. At least this way I can procrastinate on b3ta more effectively and I don't wake up in the middle of the night worrying that I forgot to do something.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:19, Reply)
That waking up in the middle of the night part is almost over
If they find I did anything wrong during the last project over the next couple of months, I'll just hand in my notice and move in with my nana.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:21, Reply)
now that's a good contingency plan.

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:27, Reply)
I might change my pants
or I might not wear any. That's just how I roll.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:19, Reply)
haters gonna hate

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:28, Reply)
I'm very busy at the mo.
But that will finish by the end of this week. Then I'll be back on here all day whinging about summat.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:23, Reply)
I have no energy
I hope this new job is a kick up the bum so I go back to being Mary Poppins
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:24, Reply)
Prob post holiday blues like me.
How was the frozen north?
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:35, Reply)
Was fucking scorching!
Had to keep running for the shade. You know me...
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:40, Reply)
Not as hot as Kos : (
*sweats at memory*
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:47, Reply)
I am buying a new offensively large telly
today and it's going to be chavtastic.

Alt Q: Your tits
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:26, Reply)
It will not be as big as Grandad Jimmy's telly
Alt: You're only human.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:27, Reply)
I am already jealous of Grandad Jimmy
Alt Q: indeed.

well done on the new role btw
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:29, Reply)
Ta la

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:40, Reply)
Me too!
Must be telly buying day today. How big?
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 10:02, Reply)
Good news on the job
nothing is changing for me apart from the fact I am supposed to help teach my siblings for a couple of weeks. They're going to hate me by the end
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:29, Reply)

they're going to hate you?
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:39, Reply)
even more

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 10:01, Reply)
Not much, life is pretty boring at the moment.
Apart from a (semi) milestone birthday.
And incidentally, I'm looking at my computer screen, darling Roota.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:38, Reply)
Is it a .gif of me pointing and winking?

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:41, Reply)
Oh man please make that please, that would be excellent

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:41, Reply)
ME? I can just about do copy and paste!

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:43, Reply)
Well just copy and paste a video into a gif converter.

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:45, Reply)
Is that where you take your gifs and they give you sovereign rings and pitbulls in return?

(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:46, Reply)
I live in Milton Keynes.
I have no idea what you're talking about.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:48, Reply)
Come to the Walworth Road
there's plenty there.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:51, Reply)
I live in a flat without my parents
I have no idea what you're talking about
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:53, Reply)
I'm under 30
I have no idea what you're talking about

Look I can be unnecessarily personal too.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:56, Reply)
I really like being Roota Rootley, aged 32 and a half
Therefore there was nothing unnecesarily personal about what you said.
(, Wed 1 Sep 2010, 9:59, Reply)
Congratulations on the job too!
