Oh Roota I'm well pissed off
remember that whingey girl in my pole class? At the weekend she asked me if she could have some extra private lessons because she was struggling, so I thought 'oh good she's realised she's lagging and is going to try harder and stuff'. But last night whenever she wasn't on the pole, she sat down reading the fucking paper. I said "oh, am I boring you?" and she said "no, I'm just reading" and turned back to the paper. How can she not see how rude that is?!
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 8:54, 5 replies, latest was 14 years ago)
Ha, that's proper rude
Or arrogant. Or a mix of the two. You should just pick on her to try everything until she realises she's being rubbish.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 8:56, Reply)
unfortunately she already knows that
she'll try something once or twice and then say "I can't do that" and I'll say "well keep trying" and she'll go "no, it's not gonna happen" and sit down.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:09, Reply)
just totally neglect her then
don't give her extra classes and almost ignore her. If she's not going to make the effort then you shouldn't bother either.

Just take her money. :-)
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:15, Reply)
yeah that's what I've been doing so far!
She will start to hold the others back though because she refuses to do moves that are a bit difficult, painful or scary. We did a move last night where you climb up the pole, grip it with your legs and then lean right back so you're upside down, but she wouldn't take her hands off so she never even got horizontal, let alone vertical. She told one of the other girls that she would be happy to do it if there was a big strong bloke holding her up but because it's just me she doesn't feel safe. However, when she let go of the pole entirely a few weeks ago, I caught her and she didn't fall, so I don't know what her problem is.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:26, Reply)
she's a twat
that's her problem. She's obviously continually annoying you, so you need to get rid of her.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:30, Reply)
yeah I really need to tell her off
I'm such a pussy though, I hate confrontation. I'm hoping to get another couple of classes soon so maybe I can bump her back down to the beginners, especially if she refuses to do the moves that the now intermediate girls are doing. That'll probably get rid of her.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:47, Reply)
yeah, do that
nice and passive-aggressive
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:49, Reply)
shut up, I'm no good at active aggressive!

(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:04, Reply)
Seriously?
Can't you throw her away from your class?

I've been thinking more and more about this pole class thing... when do you do it? Is it ok if I'm clumsy and fat? I just want to try and do some extra exercise.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 8:57, Reply)
Admit it.
You just want to surprise Mark on his wedding night.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:00, Reply)
That'd be so much fun!
Maybe I can ask the people at the banana plantation if they can put a pole on my room... although I'll probably break my leg just before the honeymoon, so I might pass.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:03, Reply)
*insert dancing on his pole joke*

(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:03, Reply)
Oh, you dirty
He's already told me he's going to drink like never and enjoy his party properly, and dance until the early hours, so we might have to do the pole dancing the next day.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:06, Reply)
I'm the most clumsy person ever, I trip over when I'm standing still!
If you would like to come that would be really cool, I've got another couple of girls wanting to start a class but I need 4 people first, so if you joined I could start it up :)

How do Wednesday nights sound, 8-9pm? As I'm going away shortly for a week it would probably be better starting on Wed 23rd.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:11, Reply)
Sounds good
But I can't promise I'll be good. I'll try, though.

Where do you do it?
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:27, Reply)
Bar 38 off Deansgate, near the AMC Grand cinema thingy
manchester.bar38.co.uk/index.cfm?id=bar38.home
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:48, Reply)
Oh, yes
I know where it is, and it's quite handy. Any possibility for me to park the bike in a safe room? Otherwise I'll leave it on the street for the hour, it should be ok.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:57, Reply)
I think there's bike parking in the outdoor bit, I don't reckon you'd be able to get it into the bar.
I'll gaz you nearer the time when I've got a definite class booked :)
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:03, Reply)
I've been there.

(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:58, Reply)
I bet you didn't like it.

(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:04, Reply)
what a bellend
cunt her in the fuck
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:01, Reply)
At the end she started criticising one of the other girls who's actually the best one
she kept saying "you put your foot down then" and "you didn't hook your leg around properly".

I'm such a pussy, I just never dare say anything, but I'm the teacher so I should be telling her off for being rude and arguing with me.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:13, Reply)
yeah you should
grow some balls and lay the smack down

WWTRD?
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:14, Reply)
oh my god you're right!
The Rock would not put up with this shit.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:48, Reply)
damn straight

(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:01, Reply)
What the Fuck Vipros,
RJD has been dead only a few months and you've already forgotten him in favour of The Rock?

The correct question should always be WWRJDD(ihwsa)*

*(if he was still alive)
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:04, Reply)
whenever anyone writes RJD I always think "ooh Robert Downey Junior"
and then I realise it's the wrong way around and I'm disappointed. Yes, that's right, disappointed.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:05, Reply)
Fuck you Kitty
You should never be disappointed by a mention of RJD. I hope you get a smelly minge.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:09, Reply)
done.
wait...
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:23, Reply)
in this situation I feel the Rock's actions would be more appropriate
and I knew Kitty would be more susceptible to suggestions of violence if the Rock were involved.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:07, Reply)
Or the Rock AND Jasan Statham

(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:27, Reply)
that would be one hell of a sexy sandwich

(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:43, Reply)
I like being angry at people
I'll yell at her for you
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:19, Reply)
You should hire yourself out
like a yell-o-gram.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:49, Reply)

Does she just not have any social skills? Does she have any friends in the group? maybe you could ask one of them to tutor her in the ways of the non dick.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:37, Reply)
ha, her one friend that she brought with her now doesn't like her anymore
because she's so irritating. The problem is all our blokes are friends so they expect us to have corresponding girly nights whenever they want to play poker. I'd rather play poker, I'm not a bloody WAG.

I think I need to start telling her off when she does things that are rude, like reading the paper.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:50, Reply)

Poker beats wag nights. If you are uncomfortable with the confrontation try doing it in a really matey way. Say you're worried she isn't get the most out of it and it upsets you to see her bored sat reading the paper.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:00, Reply)
oh that's good, lying, I like that. I'm good at lying
I work in a solicitors office.
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:02, Reply)

*hiss* backs away slowly muttering "In nomine patri et fili spiritu sancte"
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:07, Reply)
om namah shivaya
om namah shivaya
om namah shivaya
om namah shivaya
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 10:23, Reply)
It would be ruder for her to admit that you obviously were boring her.

(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:14, Reply)
she really doesn't care about whether or not she's rude to me
that's why I deleted her from Facebook, she puts statuses like "pole class was horrible tonight, we had to do silly moves".
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:51, Reply)
Can't stop long, but I'll say this
It's time for the "Look, Helen, this isn't working out. You've tried and it's not happening. No big deal. Other kinds of exercise and dance are out there. This IS really difficult and you don't seem happy. Also, my classes aren't just about turning up and doing pole when it's your turn. It's about participating and it's about your outlook. The way you feel, well I'm concerned it's having an effect on the rest of the class. I'd prefer it if you either joined in, or faced your feelings and stopped coming."
(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:16, Reply)
Needs more GBH

(, Thu 2 Sep 2010, 9:23, Reply)
that's a good bit about participating, I never thought of saying that to her.
I'm going to a party on Saturday night and she'll be there, maybe I can try and have a quiet word with her away from the rest of the group. I worry that I'll make her feel bad if she thinks I'm kicking her out for being rubbish, but she doesn't give a shit about my feelings in all this so I'll try and be brave, thanks Aunty Roota!
