Phobias
What gives you the heebie-jeebies?
It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*
Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

Silly Phobia I
Cockroaches.
Disgusting, filthy things - the only animal on God's green earth I think He may have mad a slight error of judgement with (as in, why make the beasties in the first place?)
I have been known to recoil in horror, dance around the kitchen and scream for Legless when I see one.
I don't like squashing them (not too keen to see cockroach guts on my floor), and makes my skin crawl to think where they get to at night, when I can't see them (on my clothes, bedding, plates - arrrggggghhhh!!!)
Until recently, we had a rent-a-cat stay with us for a fortnight (wandered in one night and parked on the couch) - the cockroaches knew their time was up and they packed their bags - but he's gone now (?lost) and the little bastards are back . . .
However, I now have a secret weapon . . .
On Wednesday, I'm picking up the latest in cockroach-fighting technology:
6 months old, abandoned. She has no name as yet - any suggestions?

don't squash them
if they're females, they carry their eggs under their bodies (sort of) and when you squish them this disperses the eggs all over the squishing area, including your shoe, which then travels round your house...

My house is crawling
with giant roaches at the moment (need more bait). There was one last night which twice came to sit on me and my blanket on the beanbag and was flung across the room and sprayed. Then I went to bed and could hear one scratching around inside a bag, got up, sprayed it then squashed it (it was 2 inches long- I swear!!). Found another dead one on my kitchen floor this AM YUCK!

She's beautiful....
I've just been sat here for 30 minutes trying to think of a good name for your cat.......I've got housework to do for God's sake.

"Killer"
Or is that too obvious?
I would call her Dolophonos (Assasin to non Greek speakers) shortened to Phonos. My *special* logic being that it's an apt name for one who will dispense with the katsarides AND if you remove the "hon" from the name, and replace the "o" with a "u" it says pus.....
*edit* or should that be dolophoni because she's a girl? Which, technically blows all of my above waffle to shit.....

Call her Alyx
Something about her reminds me of Alyx Vance from Half-life 2

Cat-naming advice
Unless you like sarcasm, don't name a kitten or young cat according to it's behaviour.
