The best pun I've ever read
Was in the paper, I think it was the Scottish Sun, but could be wrong. I was sitting in a greasy spoon in Edinburgh having my breakfast and I saw this work of genius on the back page as the fella opposite me looked at his daily norks.

It was fucking genius, it really was.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle had just beaten the mighty Celtic the previous night.

The headline read:

Super-Caly-Go-Balistic-Celtic-Are-Atrocious

Whoever came up with that one deserves a knighthood.

That was indeed an awesome headline
Even to someone who used to go watch Thistle rather than the hated Caley in the pre-merger days.

I do agree that some headlines are absolute works of genius.

Sorry, Halfy
Can honestly say if I trawl through the majority of the gags you'd find in christmas crackers that are on offer this week I'll go on a mental gun rampage...

EDIT: Was it the Scottish Sun??? It's bugging me now...

Yes it was the Sun
And on both sides of the border too, headline was that good not to lead with it in England.

The Daily Record had 'Eleven Green Bottlers'.
