This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

a MALE friend once stayed up all night with work the next day just so he could beat his housemate's computer game record by 2 seconds
someone please explain? i like computer games but i struggle to comprehend how someone could like them this much.

RE
darn it i must know; did he beat it or not?
What game, what system, what level & what time must I beat???

Sounds about right...
I'm in the process of playing a driving game on my iPhone at every possible opportunity to set a lap time my father in law can't beat.
Reports from the mother in law are that he's doing the same and has abandoned reading the paper or watching TV until he gets a time he's sure will kill me.
It'll end when we die I suppose.

I like breasts too ;) very much so.

Careful
The statement "I have breasts" is not the same as "I am a woman"

It's not about liking a game as such...
It's more about how addictive the game is. I'm not a particular fan of Spore, but it's now half six in the morning and I've been playing it for around the past five hours. It's quite fun, but that's really excessive. I'm at a loss to explain it, really. :(

Ooh I know that one...
Nothing like sitting there at 5am with eyes like a panda, a 5o clock shadow and coming to the realisation that you stopped enjoying it around midnight.

Definitely a man thing
basically bragging rights over anything. Doesn't matter how pointless, how trivial, as long as you need to use a little bit of skill or physical strength then the next guy is gonna want to beat it.
(, Thu 31 Dec 2009, 9:24, closed)
Yes
I do not get this either.
(, Thu 31 Dec 2009, 9:29, closed)
It's not about the game...
It's about WINNING!

men compete with each other...
...we like doing it. And generally the looser doesn't take the loss personally.

I think the difference between men and woman in this area is responsible for 72% of the problems in the workplace.

I just enjoy it.
Good fun for me I find I do it alot with driving games. Very much so.
(, Thu 31 Dec 2009, 12:12, closed)
^^This
I can't stand having my lap times beaten.
(, Thu 31 Dec 2009, 13:11, closed)
:) aye

(, Thu 31 Dec 2009, 13:34, closed)
it's not that the game is good
it's the satisfaction gained by beating your mate's time.
and yes, i'm female.
