Freddie Woo writes: I've still got weird feelings for a well-known female TV presenter from the 1980s. I'm now in my forties, work in the same building as her and she follows me on a number of social networking sites. And now, she knows about it.
Tell us about the teenage crushes that still make you go wobbly.

but pretty much every guy my age (ummm, let's say 27-33 as i am neither of those!) seems to have had or to have a thing for philippa forester.
to me, she looks like someone's mum. why?
or is that the attraction?
also, all my male friends seemed to lust after the cadbury's caramel bunny. wtf? it's a cartoon AND it's a cartoon wabbit. surely that's the very definition of the phrase "neeeeeeeeeeever gonna happen."

I think it's because we saw her growing gracefully older. Started out as a bit of a girl next door type in kids TV, then demonstrated brains on Tomorrow's World, then moved on to every teenage boys dream, Robot Wars.
As she went through these, she grew older and more mature, and normal, not like some celebrities. She's the type you could see yourself marrying, and living with, rather than just having sex...
Hmmm... I think I went a little too deeply into that...

you can take solace in the fact that Phillippa Forrester was a fucking idiot as Chris Morris got her on the paedo special of Brasseye. Boys I know who fancied her before that went off her once they saw that.
The Cadbury's Caramel bunny was Miriam Margolyes, I think. That voice was properly sexy though. And I'm not even a pretend lesbian or bisexualist.

She did it for me back when she was on Tomorrow's World. But that was ten or so years ago and now she looks like someone's mum.
I think your confusion comes from the incorrect assumption that men crave stick thin models with the IQ of a rotten tree stump.
As for the Cadbury's Bunny thing, get them to google Miriam Margolyes; that will kill any lust faster than you can say "my eyes, my eyes."

Re: Phillipa. In reality pretty, nice and intelligent will do it for most of us. Unfortunately the spacker minority are more vocal.

But I have to admit I would like to capture Ms Forrester's heart, take her to a romantic desert island, wine and dine her.... and then fuck her absolutely ragged behind a palm tree...

....during the Robot Wars days. I believe it was a combination of the leather trousers and tops, the fact that she was a bit geeky, and she was cute without being threateningly gorgeous. She was normal, quite fit, and almost attainable.
And of course, you could easily picture her bent over a robot workbench, an animal snarl on her face and biting down on a screwdriver handle as someone thoroughly 'compacted the trash'.
Of course, now she has a face like an old handbag, but I'd probably have a pop at it for old times sake - but then, I'd still bone Felicity Kendal.

But still had a thing for Philippa Forrester, who incidentally is a bit older than I am. It wasn't exactly a teenage crush, right enough.
But nowadays, she does indeed look like someone's mum. Because in fact she is someone's mum. She's got about 3 kids, I believe.

was voiced by Miriam Margolyes who is (a) a lesbian and (b) not very decorative.

Would.
Actually, would have in a past tense seeing as she's gone all mumsy now and not in a milfy way.
*factiod*
I once dated a girl who's cousin bought a flat from Phillipa Forrester in the mid 90s.
You can touch me if you want.

I fingered the cadbury's caramel bunny. She had a filthy mouth but she wouldn't go any further than mutual masturbation. It was at a time when I would have been willing to let Philippa Forrester watch
