This is a question Worst Band Ever

If I was in charge of the B3ta fatwa department, we wouldn't be hearing too much from Simply Red in the future. Who's on your musical shit list and why?

New Order
Dance music by, and for, blokes who can't dance.

Really?
I've got to say as a pretty much almost lifelong fan now, they aren't anything like as good (or influential) as they used to be and seem to bicker like blokes less than half their age. That tune Sumner did with Hot Chip this year was awful too. But 'musical shit list' material?

EDIT : Now feel like a real fanboy. Still, stand by it.

hmm
I liked a lot of their stuff, there was a personal resonance with their lyrics, which you just don't get with dance music, as a rule. I normally like dance music with little or no singing, but "True Faith" or "Blue Monday" can get me bouncing about like a.. well... Middle aged white housewife now you mention it...

Alternatively, normally dance music with lyrics is all lush, plush and celebratory, really, whereas New Order get your feet moving in a bleak, English semi-depressed way..

hey...
they can dance if they want to
they can leave their friends behind
because *their friends can't dance and if they can't dance, they're no friends of mine*

Still not found your hat then?
Fondly remember the video to this with the mad blonde and the dwarf. Weird, but in a good way!

Men don't dance.
Unless they're drunk, or on the pull, or gay, or all three.

Real men will nod sagely along to a good tune, but that's about it. The exception being the guitar riff on Boston's 'More Than A Feeling', when a brief burst of air guitar is warranted.

Oh, and back on topic - whatever happened to 'Monaco'?
