Would wearing a pinstripe jacket with jeans and a t-shirt make me look like a wanker?
I think it would make me look like a wanker.

Ask yourself this: Would Wormulus wear it?
If the answer is 'Yes' then, well, i think you know the correct course of action.

I think we should make it exist,
for the pure reason to make it acceptable for TGB to wear a pinstripe jacket with jeans.

Clarkson is the cutting edge of fashion.
He'd still have an afro if he could grow the hair.
Edit: also, he wouldn't wear a t-shirt, it'd be a real shirt. Tsk.

(

depends on the contrast between the jeans and the jacket
light jeans plus dark jacket = no (and wear a shirt)
(
custard, Sat 23 May 2009, 17:23,

all people who wear suit jacket combined with any form of casual dress are fucking knobbers who should be shot.
(
Master Of Turnips. Only gays and morons believe in ghosts., Sat 23 May 2009, 17:29,

what about casual/not-suit jackets?
this sort of thing -
clicky(and some casual jackets/blazers do have low-key pinstripes)
(
custard, Sat 23 May 2009, 17:33,

You're going to have to tell me what you mean by jacket here.
You mean the jackets that are similar to suit jackets that are meant to be casual, or jackets full stop?
If it's the former, that comes under the shitdar.
edit: Yes, they are only for twats. No offence,
great

(

depends on the jacket/blazer
badly cut navy blue double breasted monstrosities with gold buttons are hideous, but well designed blazers are pretty much a fashion staple.
So in your world, the suit jacket shape must only be worn with trousers made from the same cloth as the jacket (aka a suit)?
(the look doesn't work if you are fat, though; it's a fitted thing)
(
custard, Sat 23 May 2009, 17:44,
archived)
Pretty much.
They look shit on 99% of people. The only people they do look good on are the people who'd quite frankly look good in anything.
I'm not fat and just being upset that I look like shit in one myself, I honestly think the people who dress like that are knobs.
They're hardly fashion staples either.
(
Master Of Turnips. Only gays and morons believe in ghosts., Sat 23 May 2009, 17:48,

most collections (whether from Next or uber&overpricedfashionhouse)
usually have two or three blazers in (to be worn with dress/smart trousers/jeans and shirts as part of a 'going out' outfit)
not as much of a staple as shirts & trousers etc., obviously
(P.S. didn't mean to imply that you were fat)
