My mum and dad had this velvet scroll thing hanging at the top of the stairs
it had like tribal faces on it. I was terrified of going upstairs on my own because of it. Also, the dark and Freddie Kruger.

The dark
People from lower social classes, and Alien.

The usual, really.

Springheel Jack?
Bloody hell, that's not something I've heard of in a long time. Tall fella good at scaring courting couples and jumping over walls in Sheffield, right?

/Edit

He looks like a Victorian Batman!

ghosts
and xenomorphs chasing me home in the dark when i was liccle.

i´ve experienced ghosts twice though, each time typing really, really fast on keyboards.. once on a vic20.. once on a 286. my brother remembers it too (the first one) as he was in the bunkbed below.. turned on the light and the noise stopped and noone was there. we shit ourselves (aged about 7-8)

edit: shit, i remember i used to sleep curled up facing the wall, so if they got me at least i didn´t see them coming :(

How was Thomas?
Scared of looking out of windows at night with the light on in the room I was in. Can't see anything outside and I always expected a ghost or someone to walk past.

Ever since that terrifying public information film with Donald Pleasance playing the Grim Reaper.

I never mentioned my inherent fear of dwarves in red coats either.

this is scary. When i was 6 i tried to impress jennifer maskry by swimming in the deep pool.
i could only swim underwater though (1 and a half widths!).. i tried to go from the deep end to the shallow end.. but only made it half way.

thought i was dying as i still remember clambering for air bringing bubbles around me.. just when i was going weak her MUM rescued me.

i was so embarrased.

edit: gonna facebook her

My dad told me when I was little that the gated doors in subways were where they kept the monsters locked up during the day.
He also told me that 0 + 0 equalled a half which screwed my life up for the first six or seven years.
