I left for work about half seven and was home by 8
boss messaged me telling me he had to stay at home for passport delivery meaning my weekday day off became today. Happy days. I've spent it exercising and reading about steak in the great new book my wife gave me as a surprise
www.amazon.co.uk/Steak-Whole-Story-Tim-Hayward/dp/1837831009

lots to learn

i like a good steak. my butcher does great ones. i usually cook them on full power for about 90 seconds until they're perfect
bbq sauce to taste. excellent.

yeah as i recall magnetrons were initially for military use but they needed not to be anywhere near the same tolerances for microwave ovens
so they could be produced fairly easily. my microwave used to buzz and i done a search turns out it was likely the magnetron

Up until 1960 all sales of playing cards were taxed . The ace of spades was the card stamped by the tax office . Hence its reputation.

I sous-vide mine with a steak rub of my own invention, based on wild mushrooms that I foraged myself.
You know, like a proper food cunt.

I saw a YT vid where they packed it in MSG for 3 days before cooking it, which apparently did something.

Which /talk denizen is a doctor again? I think something is happening to my ear.
(, Tue 4 Jun 2024, 19:50, archived)
msg makes things that don't taste of much taste great
less useful for more flavoursome foods, afair
