I'm choosing to be optimistic
and seeing the disappearance of the Metaverse and Sora as a sign that the AI bubble is finally bursting and we might be able to go back to being actual people with jobs and income again. Probably naΓ―ve of me, but there you go.

I have a decent chunk of pension invested in AI focused equities, I hope it takes over the world and there's a war with the machines.
I'll be quids in.

I met this guy in a rowing boat
he seemed really fascinating and definitely trustworthy. Honestly though his eyes. He had such a way of looking at things. He offered me a boat trip and I thought, well why not? Anyway long story short, it wasn't a huge journey but somehow it was long enough for him to notice I had some money with me.
"You can't take it with you, you know," he said, with that mesmeric look. "Where you're going, you won't be able to spend it."
So now I wander alone by dark shores, penniless, beached, bone-bleached. I should have known, I should have known
