My mum's community art project #2
I did another one.
(To recap: anyone at all can wander in [it's on the High Street] and paint/draw whatever they like on one of 100 9' x 6' jigsaw pieces. To be exhibited in a couple of weeks' time)

is it a jigsaw though?
doesn't a jigsaw, when complete make one coherent pic? Isn't this more of a montage?

That'd be a jigsaw puzzle.
But you're right, it's not a jigsaw. But, y'know, it's a community art project. Broad appeal, accessibility and so on. All the bits fit snugly together, apparently.

a jigsaw puzzle doesn't need a picture on it to make it a puzzle though
in fact, if there were no picture it would still be a puzzle, but much more difficult ;)
either way, i like the idea and i like this pic.
Will the organisers be ok with your graphic depiction of what i can only assume to be some kind of telekenitic type brain murder?

Ta for the kind words.
And hey, kids fucking love a spot of telekinetic brain murder, you know that.
Nearly as much as they love direct, out-and-out, brutal physical mutilation with outlandishly oversized Japanese weaponry.

I'm pretty sure the only requirement is that it's been cut by a jigsaw
My mum had one which was all yellow called "flat banana".
I guess some people enjoy that kind of thing.

Although these days I wouldn't be surprised if there was a more efficient way of cutting it than using a jigsaw

The type of saw involved shouldn't detract from the puzzle making
maybe someone should start a company called jigsaw, kind of like how there's a company here called '100% australian beef' which means mcdonalds can say they have 100% australian beef burgers.

Come on bus.
I had to make the background black so the come would show up. Pardon me for tittering, but I thought it was very clever.

I was RISsing meself a bit, til I realised it's a different version of the one we used to punch and kick each other to as tiny tots:
Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk, milk, lemonade, round the corner chocolate's made.

it may be useless, but i think i want one
actually, it reminds me of the swing at our local play park. it has weird handles, so disabled children can swing on it.
I've tried it and it's fucking impossible to use

because of the rotation of the feet
are they seperate layers? when i try to rotate a layer it rotates on every frame. am i doing something wrong?
( ,

yes--each foot orientation is a layer of its own
If you make duplicate layers, then you can re-orient or transform them independently

Actually
I think in that gif, I have only one "rotated" layer for each foot. all of the kicking is done with the same rotated foot layer, just moved to different locations on the frame canvas.

The head is something I found at a flea market.
I had it lag bolted to the trunk of my 1961 Rambler. I used it to terrify conservatives.
