However the internet seems to be pretty adamant that "whoa" is correct, and people who spell it woah are stupid. www.google.co.uk/search?q=woah+or+whoa
Seems a bit silly to me though, a bit like arguing over whether laughter is haha or hehe.

He did a masterful reading from Joshua once, though.

I thought whoa was just used for dogs and horses.

edit: just found this, alt-usage-english.org/I_before_E.html some people have "extensions" to the rule, like "well, well, but, it doesn't apply if it rhymes with 'hay' like in neighbour!" and "well, well, err, it doesn't apply when you have a plural like 'democracy' or err err it FUCKING APPLIES ALL RIGHT?"

i've never been able to spell "foriegn". nor have i ever been able to spell "dependent". this makes me a bona fide moron.

but i'll make a special effort to always use "dependant". although that does look like what you're doing when you nick someone's necklace.
