the christmas and Halloween ones are coloured aren't they?

so not that bigger deal really is it? and that's the robin one, which uses more colours than the others, i think

To be honest
I think it might be more the fact that lots of people using different coloured icons would make the board look rather garish.

The 'learner' icon has red too.
I do remember when they originally were asking for submissions, greyscale was one of the rules. As was 'no animation'.

I think colour is only used on special occassion icons - christmas and halloween etc.
