Its a good program, but not a lot of people can actually use it well. Its a difficult program to master.

the ibook touch pad is cool n' all, but it aint that good...

my mate on the other hand, took 3 of us to prize off of our sofa the morning after. he woke up at 11am on our garden lawn ;)

but it was only 3" by 4" I think.
Any of the little ones you see that are A6 size(ish) will probably do you fine - they generally cost about £30.
For that money I doubt there is a lot of difference between them - I have a 'Genius' one that has worked perfectly for about 2 years now.

I assume they are good quality across the board, so cheaper ones aren't crapper, just smaller(?)

are crap, you get what you pay for.
the intuos are the top top range and are awesome, the graphire are mid range and are good for most people and the volita are pure wank, don't even touch them. there is a reason they are £35

Theres a steady stream of Intuos tablets - given a bit of patience its possible to find a decent second-hand one. I got an original Intuos with an A5 active area... Works good!

Wacom Volito last week, very nice, a little confusing to use at first but very nice when you get the hang of it.
