only to be greeted with 'are you sure you would like to delete WINDOWS'?

erm......nope.
Although I did rename the C: drive on my dads computer to 'ALL YOUR BASE' and he didn't know what was going on and tried to delete it in windows explorer.

i do a bit of freelance computer repair in my spare time
i got called by a creepy old couple to repair their machine as they couldn't view their family member's online photo album.
it wasn't broke - but they learned what a scrollbar was and what it did!

See that's the thing...
It won't let you but then still insists that 'WINDOWS' is in the recycle bin.
It's amusing but I would like to know why it does it, google is no help.

Generally goes away if you wait until the next time your computer is on to empty the recycle bin.

Yeah, I always keep that on
along with file extensions, fuck knows why.
Like Afinkawan says if you leave it long enough it does go away. But then it comes back again every so often.
