The couple of times I've tried scrolling backgrounds they have been really awkward to make.

I just got a decent panorama pic cropped it, duplicated it and reversed it twice(for a little over-spill),
then created a canvas of a smaller width but the same height and took it into image ready and dragged it along
with the move tool and duplicated until it matched up again.
There's probably a much quicker way, but that's how I did it.
