you get a pass for being a nomeansno fan.
they are gods among tedious musicians, so i'll give you a pass on that drunken muppet up there.

they think john lennon has renounced his evil hippie ways and is writing songs for them from beyond the grave. i think all their youtube videos are gone now, but they were a hoot.

it's a more revealing sign of 'crazed christian' than any gore-speckled crucifix.
if i were new to the planet, i think i'd confuse their jesus with godzilla from the way they describe him.

My lasting impression of Akira is that the dialogue consists of someone shouting "TETSUO!!!" or "AKIRA!", then someone else saying "HUNH?" and looking astonished

The should have written that on the back cover.
"My lasting impression of Akira is that the dialogue consists of someone shouting "TETSUO!!!" or "AKIRA!", then someone else saying "HUNH?" and looking astonished - 5/5 stars."

A couple of posts ago I'm introduced to postbear via Rapitinui's shared love of NoMeansNo and the Hanson Brothers and but half an hour later I'm forced to read an unprovoked attack on the great Mr Tom Waits.

oh, i'm mostly pulling your leg.
i actually like some of his stuff, but it's my firm belief that he's one of the most over-rated musicians of our time.
don't... don't... don't believe the hype.
edit: oh, and by coincidence my current sig. is a slight reworking of a line from 'revenge'.

it's almost as if
enjoyment of music was some kind of subjective thing that may be different for all people.

there's a church here in town that had "GOD SEES ALL" on their sign out front.
i was tempted (by a serpent, probably) to make great big googly eyes and glue them on the sign, but the witchfinder general perched on the roof scared me off.

There's a church near here
that has a billboard outside with a picture of a baby on it, and underneath it says "abortion stops a beating heart". It's been there for years.
I drove past there the other day, and they've put a new sign up alongside the old one. So now, right next to "abortion stops a beating heart, it says, "This Church supports our troops!".
The new sign is not illustrated though. I was thinking of offering... maybe add a picture of some dead Iraqi children, something like that.

Our local church used to have "Time flies, eternity remains", until it got burned down.
Firstly it got vandalised to say "blow flies + human remains", then someone changed the first bit to say "church dies".
I'm not sure what "church dies, human remains" is supposed to mean, but it fits well with the blackened ruins.

I read some of that
then followed some of the links, and then some links from those linked sites... and I still have no idea if any of it's for real or not.
