So far, no trouble. What problems have you had?

Virus database 1234
Virus database 1210
117030 bytes
and it just will not download. It won't tell me why apart from "An error occurred when connecting to the update server".
I checked the firewall (Zone Alarm) all Ok there.
I have never had problems before and I was hoping the problem was on their side not mine.
I have the free version.
My PC is extremely well-protected and is free from spyware.

Mine just updated itself this morning and I've had nothing else come up. Sorry I can't really help you there.

I always tell people to switch the PC off, then back on again.
It usually does the trick.
I use AVG too - never had any problems with it - although it does sometimes interfere with the boot sequence and prevent some of my tray icons showing properly.

I restarted my computer and it was fine.

I believe I may have to get another anti-virus programme if this persists. I've already given it almost 24 hours.

I am actually re-installing AVG now - I thought something malicious might have broken the updater. Uninstalled AVG, restarted, started the download, went to b3ta's front-page to kill time waiting for it to arrive, and opened this thread. Ah.
I wish I had opened this thread off the main board at work yesterday.
